I will never get that. Edge in yards 26k to 21k.... thats almost a 20% difference and more available/durable with very similar results in the playoffs... and yet the writer of the article is baffled why people think Josh is better.... thats like say geez, I feel in the pool and I just dont have any idea why my clothes are wet... smh There's been a lot of hype - some of it well-founded, some of it overstated - about Josh's problems with turnovers. I think some see Josh as being undisciplined with the football.

I would say that even with being undisciplined he is still out performing LJ statistically and with regards to availability. They still have very similar playoff success or lack there of.... but maybe what you say is very true, perception can create reality.

This is a frustrating point; Josh Allen statistically has outperformed LJ in the playoffs by a wide margin. Lack of success is more a fault of the Bills defense than anything else. If the Bills held the Chiefs to 17 like the Ravens D did in the AFC Championship, Bills win the game easily.

Agreed on every point... statistically he has outperformed and its not even like LJ has gotten better playoff results with his performance . I mean hey if he won 2 superbowls or even made 2 superbowls maybe you make that case of results over stats... but that just isnt not even remotely the case. I continue to not understand this fascination with Jackson... Excellent QB not in the Elite class of Mahomes, Allen, even Burrow. MVP sorry I just dont get it. He deserves to be right where he is. Jimmy G also led SF to a Super Bowl appearance in 2020. Look at his numbers in San Francisco compared to his numbers in Vegas 103 passer rating in 2022 with SF, 77 in Vegas the next year. It is a system full of stacked talent , that yes Brock Purdy does run well. But there is 0 percent chance he is sniffing 4000 yards and 30 plus TDs if he wasn't playing in SF 1

Jimmy G looked pretty damn good in that SF offence and as soon as you take him off a team that's full of all pros and he goes to another team, he loses his job to Aiden O Connell Jimmy G never came close to putting up Purdy numbers in SF. Am I wrong? Jimmy G put up good numbers. Brock’s numbers thus far are elite.

There is no scenario where this is mind blowing. I agree. This writer is an absolute hack with what seems to be minimal knowledge of the players involved. How he doesn't discuss the fact that Allen has played much better in the playoffs is astonishing. That trumps the 2 MVP's for the simple reason that playoff performance is a real thing that can be quantitatively measured. MVP's are a subjective award that involve more opinion then facts. I think some see Josh as being undisciplined with the football. Allen has a lower career INT rate than Montana, Manning and Marino, and that’s just amongst some of the greats. You never ever heard one complaint about any of those 3 hall of famers being a turnover machine. Allen’s turnovers are mentioned every single time he is talked about nationally. So, yeah, the turnover talk is very very much overstated and it’s beyond stupid at this point.

Sorry, no disrespect, but this was not at all the case. Jimmy G has not looked good at all in SF. He was a statue who had horrible pocket presence and terrible vision. They won a playoff game (where weather was not a reason) because they ran the ball like 98% of the snaps to avoid Jimmy throwing it. Not even Niners fans liked Jimmy G. Purdy immediately improved the offense by a mile when he came in for Jimmy because he could actually use his legs to by time, avoid pressure, and see the field better. Even when Jimmy got paid after starting 5-0 over his first 5 games there, his stats were meh. Niner fans call him “Pornstar Jimmy” because he was more interested in banging pornstars than working on his craft. Sorry, there was no stretch of Jimmy G’s career in SF where he looked “pretty darn good”, let alone remotely as good as Purdy has been. That offense went from meh to elite switching from Jimmy to Purdy and it’s exactly why he lost his job to Purdy.
