Cine getting a call up to the roster this week. That's his first right?

Yes, it's his first. I would have figured Kareem Jackson would get the call up first with his years of experience as a Starter on multiple different teams. Speaks well to how Lewis Cine has taken to the Defense since being signed. It would have been interesting if we signed Micah Hyde sooner to see if he'd have been called up instead or if they still went with Cine. I've been of the belief that Hyde is more of a player coach and that it's quite possible that they'd call up Cine or Jackson before him if they need to call up a Safety. This doesn't really answer that question as Hyde obviously isn't ready to go straight into the lineup this quickly.

Cine-

March 18, 2021: Traded by Rams as 2022 1st round pick (32nd overall) with 2021 3rd round pick (101st overall, Ifeatu Melifonwu), 2023 1st round pick (6th overall subsequently traded, Paris Johnson) and Jared Goff to Lions for Matthew Stafford

I am not the student of the game that many are, but here's what I think:  Cine had some drawbacks coming out of college.  His college scouting report suggested that he was not always smooth and polished in his movement.  He has good length but was a bit slender.  On the other hand, he has terrific speed and athleticism.  I know nothing about his development as a pro.  Signing him does make sense considering the connection he has with Buffalo's DB coach.  Given that connection it's not surprising that he would choose the Bills over the Jets.  After all, the Jets have proven that they are a long-term dumpster fire while the Bills have a stable organization and a great locker room.  Team members care about each other while players and coaches ooze with mutual respect.  Maybe he's not the best safety in the league, but he should be a terrific depth piece and there might still be some untapped upside that Addae and the Bills can reap, especially if the Bills end up needing him to start at some point.

Too bad you couldn’t upload Micah’s skill and knowledge into Cine.  Cine was top notch, raw athlete.  McDermott is the Safety whisperer.  My guess is Cine will be a shrewd signing, and sees action in the playoffs, and does well

He has the same bday as Travis Kelce.

I find that unsettling. You had to either look that up or you knew Kelce's birthday off the top of your head. Either way, what are we doing here?

With Hyde back and Hamlin/Rapp playing well I don't think unless there's an unreasonable rash of injuries Cine is not likely to see the field. But I think they will look to bring him back next season and have him fully compete for job with a year in the system and an off-season under his belt.

It's numerology, symbolism. A hint, a signal.

This reminds me. You don't have to eat the entire edible. You can cut it in half and only take a partial dosage. Cheers

For a team to cut a 1st round pick after only two years, there has to be a lot of legitimate negative out there. Not just made up stuff.

Hyde was not an unknown.

neither was Poyer.  What’s  this guy talking about?
