appoo Posted August 26 Posted August 26 would you rather have CeeDee Lamb or Micah Parsons? A big salary cap hike might protect the Cowboys from having to make this choice though, but it still very much might be a thing Quote
Avisan Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Man. 34 mil per year is STEEP. That's a pretty big chunk of the cap for one player. Wild how much the top end of contracts has exploded. Quote

Parsons is a fantastic, elite player, but there are a lot of rumors that no one in the locker room would miss him if he got traded. You can find more game changing WRs - even as rookies - than you can elite pass rushers. 2 2 Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted August 26 Posted August 26 So much for that guy on WGR this morning that wanted to trade Elam (and maybe a draft pick) for Lamb. 6 Quote

Matt_In_NH Posted August 26 Posted August 26 With the supply of WR's coming out of college, I dont see why the market is growing so fast. 1 Quote

Donuts and Doritos Posted August 26 Posted August 26 (edited) Now if only they had a QB. Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Mahomes, Brees all won without break the bank receivers. Edited August 26 by Donuts and Doritos Quote
QCity Posted August 26 Posted August 26 And this is why you draft WRs early. Going forward it's going to be a herculean feat to get a young stud WR in FA. They've surpassed pass rushers for the #2 spot. 1 1 Quote
Logic Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Interesting to see the divide in the league right now: Teams that are willing to pay $30million+ to sign a stud WR1 vs teams that decide to go the "WR by committee" route. The Chiefs opted to go the latter route and let Hill walk. The Bills initially were part of the "pay megabucks to a WR1" camp, but then traded Diggs away and are going with option two now. Will be interesting to see how trends involve in the league with this issue. As for Lamb getting paid...I can't help but wonder if the other WR dominos (Chase, Aiyuk, etc) begin to fall now. Quote

Aiyuk wants that type of money but SF doesn’t think he’s worth that amount but would prob gladly pay him like 25 a season Quote

After the season if he can prove he can be as good as he was under Allen with Stroud. That said the Bengals aren't gonna like that if want to reup Chase unless they do HIggins for less on an extension and let Chase walk. Quote
