Bills cuts

Fair enough.

I still wonder this: He hasn't played football since 2021 and his now 30 years old and coming off a slew of season ending injuries.

Why is it that the Broncos -- no paragons of exciting WR depth themselves -- want to trade him away?

If the Broncos deem all of Courtland Sutton, Josh Reynolds, Marvin Mims, and rookie DeVaughn Vele to be better than Patrick, well...that's kind of a telling assessment of his ability to contribute meaningfully on offense, IMO.

2 years injured and they save $1.1M getting rid of him is my guess.  Broncos have less cap space than the Bills.

I'm not saying Beane should get him, just saying back in '20 and '21 he was a pretty good WR.

Something to keep in mind with Frank Gore Jr:

No pass blocking and no special teams. I remain convinced that we will have zero issues getting him through waivers.

This is an example of a 3rd string guy looking good against 4th stringers. Nice story but just a jag.

I believe Frank Gore sr and Frank Gore Jr wanted to/sought out to develop on the bills

With no pass blocking or special teams reps it likely means he is staying with the bills

This is likely true and it also needs to be kept in mind every team has one of these guys. Some times they're worth keeping. Rasheed blacksheer for example.

They have to do something right?  Like there's no way we have a limping Trubisky going into week 1.

Nathan Peterman?

We can run with this, “ plays like a limping Trubisky”  it’s got a future…, 🤣

The thing about keeping a guy like Hamler is would he actually be claimed by anyone? To me he seems like a cut and practice squad guy who you call up early if Hardy is indeed hurt and then move on. I just have a hard time using a 53 man spot on him.

MVS and Samuel are also injured though.

Please remember that this is the thread for Bills cuts that people come to in order to get information on who has been released from the Bills roster.

There are multiple other threads for posting other teams cuts that can be used for discussion of whether they might be fits for the Bills.

Please don't clog this thread with that unrelated discussion as it makes it harder for people to find the info they want.

Thanks.

I wouldn’t rule out that safety though, he’s been out all summer to the point he may not even know where his locker is

Mike Edwards signed a 1 year , $2,800,000 contract with the Buffalo Bills, including $1,000,000 signing bonus, $1,600,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $2,800,000.
