Beane makes guys in the 5-7th round or UDFAs look like day one or two picks. Agreed. I remember the Patriots doing it a few years ago and if you don't have a backup that you like, I think it's a smart move...but they seem to like Trubisky too much. If someone goes to IR from the LB corps can he make it possible but less likely imo.
