KellyToTasker Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Tough to hear. I was fortunate enough to meet Coach D'Alessandris in Mobile immediately following a Senior Bowl game that then Bills coach, Chan Gailey, and his staff coached….Including Coach D. We chatted for a while, he actually gave me his personal cell phone with an offer to take me and my boys on a tour of the Bills facilities/stadium. We exchanged texts on a few occasions. Rest in peace, much prayer. 3 2 Quote
Saxum Posted August 25 Posted August 25 He seemed to be receptive to helping players he coached who left team or teams he left. and not just on coaching Many times I saw mention of him by a player who he was not currently coaching. He was a good guy. Toni D’Alessandris, his wife died in May of 2022. 1 1 Quote
Saxum Posted August 25 Posted August 25 https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40990315/ravens-offensive-line-coach-joe-dalessandris-dies-age-70 Quote D'Alessandris had been hospitalized for the past two weeks with what the Ravens had described as "an acute illness" that required ongoing treatment for an extended period. Ravens coach John Harbaugh said at the time that D'Alessandris had surgery early in the summer, and his illness was a complication from it. 1 Quote

rusty shackleford Posted August 26 Posted August 26 That’s sad, RIP. I do have to admit, I thought someone spelled Joe Andreessen wrong again when I first read the title. Quote
