Get rid of gundy and I bet you won't win 10 games for another 7-10 years Nah. Times have changed. OSU has the facilities now, we've established the Texas pipeline of players. If schools like Indiana, Duke, SMU, etc. can do it... Oklahoma State can do it. We've been a solid program since the early 80's. One exception was when we got the 2nd worst NCAA probation after SMU's death penalty. Quote

The peak of your school's recruiting prowess was 24th class... You typically hover around 30-40 Duke has 1 10 win season in the last 50 years lol they don't win 10 games in any sort of consistency.. Indiana doesn't even have a 10 win season in their program history I didn't say Oklahoma state was going to be terrible.. I said they're not going to win 10 games for a while Mike gundy puts together teams of three star players ... Very little four-star guys or top 300 recruits.. he does it with his coaching and culture If you are a school that consistently grabbed top 300 players and occasional five stars I would agree but you don't Mike gundy has taken you to consistently top heights without top recruiting Quote
Sweats Posted November 3 Posted November 3 What the hell is going on with Penn state?........lost to Ohio state again and i have no idea if the committee will even keep them in the top 10 after this. Horrible game plan and Franklin played scared all game long. Quote

I can see why you want him but I don't think he will go to college Edited November 3 by Buffalo716 Quote

Orlando Buffalo Posted November 7 Author Posted November 7 Just saw the first CFP ranking and we know they like "quality losses" but holy crap how do you rank undefeated army lower than Louisville? Louisville has one good win and has lost 3 times, while Army has been smokin each and every opponent. 1 Quote
Bermuda Triangle Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Miami can’t pull off yet another fluke victory. hate to see it… 1 Quote
Sweats Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Dawgs got a thorough beat down by Ole Miss, Miami couldn't stop a nosebleed and Bama crushed LSU. The committee's ranking are going to get real interesting from here on out. Quote
Back2Buff Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Another Saturday of unbelievable games and action. I feel bad for the people that don't watch College Football. 2 Quote

The players are not used to being this comfortable. That said, the elephant in the room imo is Milroe. Great runner, strong arm, but he isn't a good passer or decision maker. There is talent up and down their roster. The receivers, TEs, and running backs are fine, but; teams are jamming the line of scrimage and daring Milroe to throw, and he just isn't very good at it, at least when compared to their previous four (if not six) quarterbacks. My biggest fear wrt the Tide is that Milroe gets a poor draft grade and comes back for his 3 million NIL. It's time for them to turn the page at QB. Jmo. Milroe was great against LSU this past Saturday, but they didn't ask him to pass a lot. That limited his flaws/inconsistencies. It seems when they ask him to pass more, and if he can't get into any rhythm, the "bad Milroe" appears: poor footwork/mechanics, poor field vision/progression and indecisive/poor decision making. He is so maddeningly inconsistent. Last year, it was reported OC Rees had to simplify the offense because Milroe was struggling grasping Rees's offense. DeBoers offense is supposed to be somewhat complicated, and he's dealing with what talent he was left with. Back in September, DeBoer said he has less than 50% of his offense installed for this year, because he doesn't have the correct personnel to run it. So any talk of how he is on the hot seat this year is extremely premature. Quote

Back in September, DeBoer said he has less than 50% of his offense installed for this year, because he doesn't have the correct personnel to run it. So any talk of how he is on the hot seat this year is extremely premature. This was his best game ever imo. He was 12 of 18 for 108 for 108 yards. The thing is, there were two drops which were not his fault, and one of them was not a short pass. That said, he improved every phase of his game vs. LSU. We always knew he could run, but this time he made quick decisions. He also took less sacks. A player with his size and speed should never have taken as many sacks as he did coming into this game. Milroe is a very intelligent kid and already has his degree, but his decision making wasn't that good.....until Saturday. This team is more talented than most believe, despite their current record. The really big loss they suffered was (ahem) Caleb Downs, who really might be the best safety in the NCAA. That said, the Bama secondary really is improving. This kid Bray Hubbard came from nowhere and is making plays all over the field at safety and the young corners are progressing well. The defense gave up a combined total of 13 points against Missouri and LSU at night on the road. If Milroe can continue to play at this level (and I'm not at all sure that he will), teams will be badly mistaken to take them lightly. In fact, I can't think of a team that they could not compete against, but again; Milroe has to at least stay at his level of play vs. LSU. If not, we are through. Quote
