I should probably wait until the game is over to say this but Georgia is proving that they are still the best team in college football.  They've been the best team over the last four years.  I don't care about their struggle against Kentucky a few weeks ago.  For some reason, Bama almost always seems to have their number even when they are having more of a down year by Bama's standards.  Rewind the clock to last year, put Georgia against Michigan, I'm picking Georgia all day long.  If they don't have to go through Bama again, I will be stunned if anyone other than Georgia is hoisting the national championship trophy at the end of the year.

Did the bench Ewers and then bring him back? Such a weird game

And then the kids throwing the bottles on the field in protest of the DPI call and it actually worked

Think they were looking for a bit of injection as they were completely flat. Manning didn’t play much better in the 2 drives prior to the half but they did move the ball with his legs.

Never seen a call be overturned due to protest from the fans lol

Causing a delay of game on a questionable call might be more of a common place after last night’s success.

Overall, Georgia defense looked dominant.

Said in another post, DeBoer is done there unless he goes 5-0 to end the season.

No.

In 2007, Saban's first year at Bama, they went 6-6, that included losing the last 4 games of year with losses to Miss St, Auburn (a 6th straight loss), and Louisiana-Monroe.

I am not saying DeBoer is going to be Bamas HC long term, or he is going to win multiple NC, but this one year is not going to decide his fate at UA.

The one disturbing trend I do see under KD is the lack of team discipline. That needs to change.

You might be right, might be jumping the gun a little bit either way his seat is on fire right now.

But the difference back then was when Saban took over they had no quality players the years prior man… they went like 2 years before having no one drafted. Roman Harper is the only player of quality I can think of during the Shula period.

DeBoer is getting one of the most talented rosters in football.

He should be doing better.

That list is bull.......Bama a 2 loss team and still at 15.

I know what the committee is doing here. They are keeping them close to hovering around 12 and hope they claim a spot into the playoffs.

How come Vandy is only at 25?......they are a 5-2 team and they actually beat Bama.

No it's not. No matter how much you want it be.

He is halfway through his first season.

Kirby Smart went 8-4 his first season at UGA, and he lost to Vandy, Tennessee, and GT. All of them at home. And it's not like he was handed a crap roster.

I don’t. Couldn’t care less whether he gets fired or not.

That’s fine, I disagree.

A loss to Vanderbilt?!? Then barely scraping by South Carolina and now losing to Tennessee. What will the excuse be if they lose to Mizzou?

I get the point what you’re saying with Kirby, and maybe you reference it because he lost to Vanderbilt too, the difference is he wasn’t taking over a program that had identified itself as pretty much “NCG or failed”.

That is Bama. National Championship expectations through and through. The roster is still one of the best.

Smart, he took over a Georgia program that was pretty much happy with Bowl Games and/or the playoffs under Reicht.

Prior to him? They were an ok program from what I remember during the 90s.

Since the 1920’s there’s a handful of seasons where they haven’t even been in a bowl game. Throughout that period it is littered with conference championships and national championships to boot.

100 years of in or around the elite. Very different expectations at that program. Especially with what Saban was leaving him.

I get you’ll still disagree, and that’s ok. But to me his seat is on fire and will be next season if he makes it.

Joe Tessitore is still terrible.  He can’t even grasp the basic concept of when to get excited, and when it is a run of the mill first down.

How did he ever get the MNF football gig?

But I don't want Gundy anymore. He's too loyal to his coaches and too stubborn to change. We have (literally) the worst DC in college football. We have a clueless OC.

He won't fire either.

Lack of discipline is a HUGE problem. DeBoer has an ice cream truck and loud music at practice. The players are not used to being this comfortable.

That said, the elephant in the room imo is Milroe. Great runner, strong arm, but he isn't a good passer or decision maker. There is talent up and down their roster. The receivers, TEs, and running backs are fine, but; teams are jamming the line of scrimage and daring Milroe to throw, and he just isn't very good at it, at least when compared to their previous four (if not six) quarterbacks. My biggest fear wrt the Tide is that Milroe gets a poor draft grade and comes back for his 3 million NIL.

It's time for them to turn the page at QB.

Jmo.

True but a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush

He is taking you a long way from the '90s and you could go right back to obscurity

17th Straight seasons being ranked at a point even if the season didn't go your way

You literally won 10 games last year..

Get rid of gundy and I bet you won't win 10 games for another 7-10 years

Well, for 17 years this was not true. ;)

I think it’s true this year more than any year when you look at each coach and situation. Oregon maybe the only dude still on a honeymoon
