Bill from NYC Posted September 8 Posted September 8 The score of the Alabama game didn't reflect what happened on the field. Bama did NOT look good. I was not at all happy. The RT was stunningly bad. They were penalized constantly throughout the game (to include a targeting penalty which seemed unintentional but I guess intent doesn't matter). They let receivers get open and were lucky that the opposing QB was a lousy passer (but excellent runner). At this point, QB Milroe is vastly overrated imo. Great runner, questionable passer and decision maker. 21 of their points came late in the game. The opponent was tired and worn down. They play a real team next Saturday (Wisconsin) and will HAVE to improve to have a decent chance of winning. Again, ignore the score. Jmo. Quote

That said, there was NO WAY that they could have beat the worst team in the NFL, and I even posted this at the time. College teams just cannot defeat NFL teams. Orlando Buffalo Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 We are already at the point of the season that writers admit the actual games are secondary, all that matters is that the writers can seem smart. NIU is undefeated and best ND,despite that ND is higher ranked. There is no logical argument for that if the games are what matters primarily. Quote

Big Turk Posted September 21 Posted September 21 (edited) James Madison destroying North Carolina...what an embarrassment...currently leading 70-50 and scored a North Carolina record allowed 53 points in the first half against them. North Carolina has tried to come back but were in a 53-21 hole to start the second half. Both teams are playing no defense in what appears to be a basketball game at first glance based on the score... They both have over 600 yards of offense. James Madison QB Alonzo Barnett III is currently 22/34 for 388 yards and 5 TDs passing along with 13 carries for 99 yards and 2 more TDs Rushing. And they are at the UNC 43 and threatening to score again...but mercifully the final gun sounded and UNC can limp away to go kick their wounds after this thrashing that they paid 500K to get.
