He has mainly been the third team center so far, last week he got the last series the twos were out there but at guard. Last night he was at 2nd team center with Alec Anderson at RG. Not sure if that was just a result of Clapp not being healthy or a genuine promotion but interesting nonetheless. SVPG has had a solid 3 pre-season games but the rookie star on the OL had been Tylan Grable. I think he might legit already be our 6th best offensive lineman.
frostbitmic
I see people ragging on Andreessen but was there a LB who played better ? ... If so I don't recall seeing them. Ulofoshio - First game action and it looked like it. Jones - Another meh performance Morrow and Spector - Crickets ... Pardon me, injured Crickets Maybe they'll play a 5-1-5 base Defense, if not they'll be cutting a D-Lineman better than any of the backup LB's. MikePJ76
the thing that stuck out to me was Kingsley jonathan playing all the way to the end. That could just be a numbers thing with the lineman who were available or it could be the were giving him one last shot to actually do something before they move on. personally I don't think he is worth keeping at this point but they have an issue at end because miller is an old pass rush specialist and solomon is a rookie who will not hold up yet paying a 17+(hopefully) game season. So they essentially have two ends they have to keep who are never really going to play base downs or are not really built to play the run at this point. That makes me believe they might keep a bigger guy like toohill and put jonathan on the PS. Maybe a trade or waiver claim there also. the player I think want to keep in case of emergency but have no room for is Lael Collins. Probably a practice squad signing. He can go where he wants but I don't think he will be in demand, he is always hurt. and of course kicker. Much like backup qb they have to go find a new one here. Or they could keep bass because they have the thursday night game right away and after that thursday night game they could bring someone with the extra days to prepare. This team is ready to run the football. They have an excellent group of running backs and the line and tight ends look excellent to me. Once you get to a certain level how frigging hard can it be to stay good ( not perfect just good) and make millions for 10+ years. Other players lose years off their life to play, risk brain disease, suffer life altering injuries, carry an extra 100 lbs, and compete for their job every year. now that is pressure. You...just need to be a pro, dedicated, you have the job, you take 3 steps, the target doesn't move, “free shoes” cracked me up.

Chip shots (some makes had serious slicing if longer distance) Last year ended sour for Bass, he went 5/12 practice this week on kicks over 40 yards, missed a 51 yarder yesterday. Weather was no issue for these as well. There is reason for concern for anytime bass trots out from 40+ If he is still on the team, will McDermott even send him out there for anything over 40 yards? You...just need to be a pro, dedicated, you have the job, you take 3 steps, the target doesn't move, Harder than you think. As someone who played soccer for his whole life and then was a kicker in a few flag and touch football leagues, it's far harder than most people think. It's actually the most technically precise action in an NFL game because from snap to kick is under 1.5 seconds including the catch and put down by the holder. All parts have to be in sync, if even one isn't the whole operation fails. The holder can make quite a big difference based on how he is holding the ball, the angle, etc which then can change the strike point of the kick. Since you are only kicking a very small portion of the ball in comparison to say, a soccer ball, small changes mean big issues over longer distances. And once you start second guessing yourself as a kicker, the amount of technique corrections you can try to do are mind blowing. From how you line up, to the angle you take, to the timing, etc. As someone who has never done it, you wouldn't understand, but I'm trying to at least give you some insights as to why it isn't as easy as you think. 1
BigDingus
How'd Gable Steveson do? I kind of forgot about him, but saw he got 2 tackles. Are they trying him out on defense too now?

Not sure why this keeps being brought up. From missing 1 kick during pre-season? Good Lord, some of you need to get back from the ledge. Missing in Practice quite a bit was the issue I thought. And he did.

JohnNord
14 hours ago, Alphadawg7 said: You know, you may be right. Admittedly, I had a lot going on during the game with a fantasy draft going on and also my in-laws here, so only caught plays here and there throughout and caught a couple bad ones that maybe I prematurely reacted too harshly on. I loved his film last week, so came in maybe with too much interest in him this week to where my reaction to a couple bad plays were maybe magnified a bit. So to be fair to him, I will wait until I get to rewatch it with more focus until I judge this weeks performance. I’ve been checking around this morning and it seems like the TD was definitely on him. He should have have taken the crossing route. Instead both Joe and Deion Jones jumped the RB. Outsider of that play I don’t think there were any lowlights. He played reasonably well for a UDFA
