Steve Smith seems right proud of these panthers hanging 31 on us.

I think it’s more impressive we put up 26 with the QBs we had playing lol.

I mean yeah that’ll happen when they play their entire first team against our third string

If Carolina cuts that QB Beane should be putting in a claim for him

You want a qb you saw do well against guys who won’t make an nfl team?   Are you a preseason virgin?

While I 100% agree that Bass may now be done here, simply citing fg% for prior years is a bit simplistic because kicking in Buffalo, NY is not the same as kicking in domes and many southern/ western locations. Bass was plenty good enough ( given, never a “top” kicker) for 2/3 years for this team. Now, not so much. I believe only Pittsburgh ( more due to the field) is considered a harder place to kick than Buffalo.

the statistics do not bear that out

Plummer looked impressive against us, but was 11/18 for 42 yards (and a sack) against the Jets and 11/21 for 86 yards (and 5 sacks) against the Patriots. We have arguably the worst defensive depth in the AFCE.

Your Qb is so old he may have early onset dementia. What did he last, 3 snaps last year? If he quadrupled that production he doesn’t even make it a half this year. He was already getting washed when he left Green Bay. Watching that slob in the hard hat cry and that fool in the fire hat blubbering is going to be really sweet.

Rodgers absolutely does not have early onset dementia.  You have to be young to have early onset dementia.

it is absolutely true

here's where he ranks among fg% every year:

19th

15th

12th

24th

combine that w an astounding horrible 70.6 playoff fg% and an absolutely unthinkably poor 89.7% xpt in the playoffs...what are we really talking about here

Bass definitely seems to have a case of the yips and I’m not in the habit of making excuses for players, but struggling now or not, our kickers have the unfortunate task of having to perform in the absolute worst stadium for kickers in the league, especially late in the season (read: playoffs). It’s been that way since Rich Stadium first opened the gates. All you need to know about that is the best kicker in NFL history, Justin Tucker, managed to miss not one, but two normally easy kicks for him when we met in the Ravens at home in the playoffs a few years ago.

That won’t be the case when the new stadium opens in a couple years. Our passing game will no longer be impacted as well.

I think he's a PS squad lock and he'll be our Curtis Samuel call up replacement if he ever misses time. Nobody playing this late in the final preseason game has a shot of making the team IMO.

Hope he sticks on the PS. Imo he should be WR5. He’s unique and brings a burst no one else has. Cain looked good too. MVS shouldn’t make the team, he’s a playoff hero for the chiefs and they didn’t want to keep him that should be enough said on Mr. Drop

I see little mention of Sam Martin consistently out kicking his coverage (when he doesn’t shank it).  Our STs are not impressive and maybe near bottom of league.

Inexcusable…. McD didn’t even fire him with his annual Scapegoat Contest.
