bmur66 Posted August 23 Posted August 23 No but I am also a big race fan and I tend to choose products that sponsor racing. Quote

BarleyNY Posted August 23 Posted August 23 (edited) No. But sometimes there are commercials so annoying that I refuse to buy that product and encourage the continuation of them. Sometimes they have athletes in them. The only exception I can think of is that I’d buy Josh Jaqs cereal for my daughter because she kept asking for them. Edited August 23 by BarleyNY Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted August 23 Posted August 23 (edited) I bought the Allen Madden Cover game even though my son's XBox doesn't take discs. I bought it for $15.00 like a month ago. Edited August 23 by Royale with Cheese 1 Quote
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted August 23 Posted August 23 I felt dirty buying Gillette products for a long time but Josh fixed that. 1 1 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted August 23 Posted August 23 As an adult No but I was big on Nike as a kid because of MJ and then Tiger Quote
947 Posted August 23 Posted August 23 The only endorser who ever affected my purchasing was Kaepernick. Aside from a Bills jersey which has no other option, I haven't bought a Nike product since. 1 Quote
Don Otreply Posted August 23 Posted August 23 (edited) Nope, endorsements by known individuals don’t move the needle, being there is a 99.999999999% chance that whoever is doing the endorsements has never used or will never use what ever it is that they are endorsing, except as the contract stipulates. They may very well have been given at no cost to themselves a bit of the product they are hawking, but likely sell/ give it away or their children will find it in the Garage when getting the property ready for sale after the inevitable death in the family…, (Poetic license was taken with the usage of certain verbiage used in this post) 😁🚬🍸 Edited August 23 by Don Otreply Quote

frostbitmic Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Rarely but I have bought Josh's cereal once so I can't say never. I'm more likely to not buy a product depending on who is selling it. Brady, Gronk etc... forget it. For the most part though, I don't pay much attention to advertising. Quote

T master Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Yes i wouldn't buy a dam thing that Lebron endorses !! But i think the athletes advertising like a lot of that is focused on the kids ! Taylor Swift not being a athlete has tons of Swifties all over the place and most are inder age but mommy & daddy take them to her concerts spending a S**T ton of money on tickets, & merch same with the professional athlete . Mahomes, Josh, Brady, Manning, Bruce, all of them, who ever is "The Man" in what ever sport the kids will ask mom & Dad to buy them some of their merch weather it be for Christmas, B-Day, or just because they are being a good kid I've done with my grand kids & it's all about the money ... Albany,n.y. Posted August 23 Posted August 23 I've never bought anything or boycotted anything based on a celebrity endorsement. It's always the product that sells itself, not the endorser. If the product was good, I'd buy it no matter who sold it-I don't believe in boycotts of any product. Quote

I walked up to him and told him I was a big fan of his. He was nice. I asked for an autograph but couldn't find anything for him to sign. Then he reached into his bag and pulled out a 3 pack of condoms. He said "I really don't use these any way." He signed it and gave it to me. So now I buy Magnum condoms just because of Travis Henry even though they don't fit. Edited August 23 by Royale with Cheese 1 2 1 Quote
MJS Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Well, it must work because they spend a lot of money to get these endorsements. 1 Quote
