There was a Checkers at the corner of Transit and Walden. Whenever we drove by it, it was always empty. Checkers closed, Mighty moved in, and whenever we drive by it, it's always full. Like seeing a White Castle there. Here White Castle is WNY's version of Mighty... Late night drunk food. Put a Mighty here and it would probably flop. Nostalgia plays a part with the bar crowd. I used to go to Checkers all the time when I lived in Cheektowaga… mostly because they were literally on my street (Losson Rd)!
