SCBills Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Feel free to merge or move to another forum, but a lot of people owe this man an apology. 11 3 6 19 Quote
HappyDays Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Hopefully he gets his career back at least. He'll never be a Bill, but some NFL team should give him a shot. 9 13 Quote
streetkings01 Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 It’ll get overlooked……people will still refer to him as a rapist…..once your labeled it’s no shaking it even if your found innocent. 3 2 10 Quote
Dave_Bills Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Poor guy. Can never rush to judgement. Hopefully he gets another opportunity. 3 3 1 Quote
ganesh Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Good for Matt. I think the situation was such that the Bills had to cut him so that he could go and focus on defending his life. I don't think the Bills or anyone else owe an apology. Mat should blame himself for putting himself in such a position. 1 12 3 1 17 1 2 Quote
Doc Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 (edited) Yep. I linked an article a few weeks ago about how the ADA told her she had no case because she lied about it all. Edited May 8, 2023 by Doc 3 1 1 Quote
SCBills Posted May 8, 2023 Author Posted May 8, 2023 (edited) Anxiously awaiting all of you Bills podcast hosts, content creators and Twitter clout chasers who read the board to publicly apologize for what they said about this man… I know, I know… they’ll say nothing. Doc Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 (edited) The question now becomes, are she/her lawyer really stupid enough to continue with the civil suit? And when does he counter sue? Edited May 8, 2023 by Doc 2 2 1 Quote
CaliBills Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Crazy world we live in...... Hope he gets another shot (sure he will now) and just blasts the hell out of the ball in the NFL. 5 2 Quote
HamSandwhich Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Pretty sure I was flamed for even suggesting we shouldn’t judge him before the facts come out (not sure if it was on here or elsewhere). This is the sad side of “believe all women”. Hopefully he gets himself on track! 17 26 1 1 Quote
1ManRaid Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Unfortunately it won't be enough for some people. When it comes to sexual assault charges, the accused is forever guilty and any evidence to the contrary is dismissed as a lie or conspiracy. While not the same circumstance, Amber Heard still has throngs of diehard believers despite mountains of evidence showing her to be an objectively terrible person. 1 Quote
Buffalo716 Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 (edited) Unfortunately this is the America we live in If you are even close to being under the microscope… You better leave a squeaky clean life Because if somebody cries rape at your house you’re going to get hit with it innocent until proven guilty in this country Edited May 8, 2023 by Buffalo716 1 Quote

I respect that Beane didn't jump on the bandwagon, I could tell that he found it difficult to let Araiza go after the Bills had run their own investigation and found nothing incriminating. But there was a black cloud hanging over the team after the allegation came out and it just isn't worth holding on to a punter with that kind of baggage. I just hope he gets his NFL career back. 2 2 13 Quote

He's got proof he wasn't there at the time of the alleged gang rape. Many cases don't have that. 1 Quote

Yea, I don’t fault Beane at all. The public pressure (and likely internal NFL pressure) was too much. You could tell Beane felt torn up inside to have to let Arazia go. Quote

I heard more than a few people saying that he should sue the Bills/NFL. He's got no case against them. Quote
ShakAttack Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 (edited) So we’re basically backed into a corner and expected to cut this guy, a potentially great draft pick, over something that wasn’t even true in the end. Pisses me off actually. Edited May 9, 2023 by BobBelcher 13 9 2 Quote
