BillMafia716ix Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Only one game but I liked what I seen from Ray Davis. Looks like he could definitely be a 3 down back. Perfect complement to J. Cook 8 2 1 Quote
wppete Posted August 18 Posted August 18 He looked great. Hard runner, elusive and a smooth route runner. Our RB room looks great. Quote
Doc Brown Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Time to mix him more with the first team. A 65 to 35% snap count between him and Cook would be ideal. 2 2 Quote

SCBills Posted August 18 Posted August 18 His speed to the edge was not something I was expecting. Really well rounded back. 2 Quote
ColoradoBills Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Bills are looking like they have 3 good RBs all with different styles. Brady needs to plan accordingly to use them all. 2 Quote

DapperCam Posted August 18 Posted August 18 (edited) I like how he picks a hole and hits it hard. That is ideal for certain types of scenarios, and I'm not sure Cook is really capable of it. Cook is a more patient runner, but sometimes that leads to a loss of yards. Edited August 18 by DapperCam 6 1 Quote
LABILLBACKER Posted August 18 Posted August 18 The most important thing he does better than Cook is he immediately attacks the hole, rather than dance around like James. 5 Quote

C.Biscuit97 Posted August 18 Posted August 18 I have hopes for the dude but don’t we see this every preseason? Some random rb (a bit different since he was a draft pick) doing well against 3rd teamers? But still positive signs. 10 minutes ago, LABILLBACKER said: The most important thing he does better than Cook is he immediately attacks the hole, rather than dance around like James. Never seen a guy 6th in yards from scrimmage in the entire nfl get as much crap as Cook does. It’s insane 4 1 3 1 1 Quote
C.Biscuit97 Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Just now, The Firebaugh Kid said: He looked wayyyyyy better today. Im in. And im hopeful too. It’s just weird how much hate Cook gets for being such a productive player. If anything, he needs more work. Davis hopefully will be a great change of pace 1 Quote

It's the thing that's going to prevent him from getting extended here. Quote
Saxum Posted August 18 Posted August 18 When teams are playing backups and games are not fully planned (Tomlin is exception however for he has a real rivalry with Coach McD) sometimes players look better than they are. Give him some time to develop. I hope he can play some special teams. 2 Quote
Cray51 Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Great compliment to Cook. Keeps cook fresh and lets us run the ball more consistently Quote

He was a mid-round RB pick, a lot of it due to his age. if you’re drafted between rounds 2-4 as a RB, that team likely expects you to contribute immediately. 4 Quote
ProcessImproverMan Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Him and Frank Gore Jr both ran pretty hard/well. Both are worth keeping 1 1 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted August 18 Posted August 18 I have said this before, but reminds me of a young Travis Henry. 1 Quote
