Wacka Posted August 15 Posted August 15 (edited) I lived in the SF Bay area from 1995-2014 and listened to him DJ on the classic rock station in San Jose. He also appeared at the end of Weird Al's "I Lost on Jeopardy." Edited August 16 by Wacka 2 Quote

Just Jack Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Wow, dying just about a month after announcing his retirement. Quote
SinceThe70s Posted August 16 Posted August 16 My recollection is that he was one of many that made their way to fame in the 80's through MTV. Had a bunch of good songs - and off the top of my head can't think of any that I didn't care for. RIP 1 Quote

Just hanging out and I look at the table tent with upcoming show and see that Greg Kihn was going to be playing on Wednesday. Then I realized it was Wednesday as I looked up to see him walk out and start to play. It was a great bit of luck and a really enjoyable show. RIP Greg. Quote
US Egg Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Greg Kihn, another example of the magic of ‘80’s MTV influence on Rock and or Roll. Only Elvis and the Beatles had a bigger impact, imo. Quote
ExiledInIllinois Posted August 17 Posted August 17 RIP Greg! I liked Weird Al's awesome parody tribute: https://youtu.be/BvUZijEuNDQ?si=WgkC5waMjqPCoBWM @Mike in Horseheads "Ohhhhhh... I was there, to match my intellect, on national TV, Against a plumber, and an architect, both with a Ph.D. I was tense, I was nervous, I guess it just wasn't my night. Art Fleming gave the answers, Oh, but I couldn't get the questions right-ight-ight..." Quote

How come every good memory you have seems to involve beer or a bar Barley? LOL That's actually a pretty cool story. Nostalgia for my younger years still kind of drives me today. Like that one friend I used to have that was real good at pull ups. I still think of him and his brother every now and then. Quote
BarleyNY Posted August 18 Posted August 18 LOL Yeah, that’s something I should keep an eye on. Did you ever watch Friends? If so do you remember Fun Bobby? 1 Quote
