I think they give him 2025 and weigh either an extension in 2026 to lessen his cap number after two major injuries or they cut him all together. Milano and Tre are two very “Billsy” career arcs. Like no matter how far away we get from some of those joke years we just can’t quite catch a break. I think we’ve got to move on from at this point. At least mentally. If he comes back this season and can get on the field, great. But Buffalo should be in the mode of viewing Bernard/Williams as the LB duo of the future while potentially needing to draft a guy on Day 2 if Williams doesn’t make a jump & we need to make a move for a band aid LB this year. You can “mentally” move on all day if you want. But it’s a $29M dead cap hit this year. We don’t have the cap space to eat the additional $17M. 1 Quote

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted August 15 Posted August 15 This absolutely sucks but the show goes on. Please, no matter what don’t do egat McDermott always does. Start Dorian Williams. Live with the growing pains. Give yourself some grace to realize you are risking the first few weeks. He is the guy capable of being great. You have to sacrifice the safe high floor player for the guy that can be special. 1 Quote
aristocrat Posted August 15 Posted August 15 This is bad. Hope he can be back in October. Offense needs to be perfect Quote

finn Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Funny how these season-ending injuries happen only to the few All-Pros we have/had on the roster: White, Miller, and Milano. Let's hope Dorian Williams develops instincts fast. Or Deion Jones turns out to be capable because the middle of the field is looking mighty weak at the moment. Btw, Justin Simmons is evidently signing with the Falcons today. Quote
Buffalo Boy Posted August 15 Posted August 15 The ability to talk ourselves into believing things is strong on the board today Quote

BuffaloBillsGospel2014 Posted August 15 Posted August 15 This is why they should have gone all in on the offense. Now we’re a work in progress on both sides. Terrible mismanagement this year putting literally the entire season on Josh instead of giving him help. I’m a huge Beane fan but he’s doing a terrible job imo. 1 Quote
ngbills Posted August 15 Posted August 15 So we are paying: $31M to Diggs to not be on the team $6M to White to not be on team $20M to Bates, Poyer, Hyde, Floyd, Harty, Morse to not be on team $15M to Miller to not exist $12M to Milano to be out until Dec Over $80M to players that potentially have zero impact on the season. 1 Quote

Wouldn't want that pesky little $27 M to cloud your argument 1 Quote
