When I was younger in the late 90s, I absolutely loved the Sabres.

I remember being on the edge of my seat vs the capitals in the ecf...

Peca, Barnaby , Zhitnik, Sat'an... it was a lot of fun and exciting.

I barely even pay attention anymore unfortunately.

It's just sad honestly

That definitely wasn't the same old answers lol. He blamed the weather, NYS taxes, and even snarkily quipped that he should have re-signed 43yr old Craig Anderson to stop reporters commenting about the team's young age.

I’m not a Sabres fan.

But, isn’t this a local dude?

And he could think of nada positive to say about the franchise, about the fans, about HIS city?

Beyond pathetic!

That loser buffoon cannot be still sitting down to dinner as an employee of the Sabres… TONIGHT!

I really only follow the Sabres these days by catching up on scores every few days.

But hasn't Adams essentially acknowledged its playoff or his job this year? Lindy must have realized this too when he accepted the job.

This franchise is unquestionably a mess.

However, I do remember the 05/06 team starting pretty awful as well before catching fire, but it was certainly before December that they awoke from an early season slumber.

Keep firing GMs and coaches until it works.

That's the only way forward for this franchise.

Unfortunately, you can't fire the owner. TP is clueless, but thinks he knows hockey. No competent GM wants to work for him.

The problem with Pegula selling the team is that you then open up the very real possibility of no longer having an NHL franchise in Buffalo at all if the new owner isn't able to fix it right away.

Unless of course you find another multi billionaire owner with strong ties to WNY.

Limbo.

I was not aware until today Utah had a hockey team.

And that is just about literally their name.

Hard to compete with exotic locales like Utah.

I don't think the NHL wants to lose Buffalo; one of the few cities in North America that thinks hockey is a major sport. But yes, it potentially could be problem. Historically, there's never been an owner as inept as Terry Pegula. If he had the capacity for introspection, he'd step back and hire real pros to make personnel decisions. It would also help if he wasn't running the team on an internal cap, which he almost certainly is, regardless of what Kevyn Adams says.

yep, there are palm trees in Utah, so you can’t expect the Sabres to win. 😂😢

So, here's my own "where I'm (at)" thing regarding the Sabres.

The Bills have always been my team, and that's non-negotiable.

The Sabres?  Stallions?  Braves?  Just kinda there.

The Sabres had three major periods in their lifecycle, or at least in my life (yeah, I guess that they had their moments in the early 1970s, but I was still enjoying teet at that time), and those were:

  - early 1980s

  - mid to late 1990s

  - early to mid 2000s

Along that time you got Rigas and Knox and Golisano and so on.  Not one of these people could (or would) right the ship.

Outside of that, the Sabres have been a non factor.  Sell the team, and move it.

This pains me to say it but we might be more respected by not having a team at all than trotting out the garbage product they have for the last 14 years.

I've never been a sell the team guy but it is starting to feel like this organization is broken beyond repair.

A good website for Adams to look for new opportunities? 🤔

Ha, yes.  On Indeed, Adams could find a job at a call center in Beijing.  There should be more Super Bowl commercials about this very topic.

Nah, **** that. I still don’t want the team to be sold and moved. The team belongs to Buffalo, just as much as the Bills. This is a great hockey market. Its just been put through 14 years of crap.

Literally all Pegula needs to do is just take a ******* step back, hire competent experienced hockey people and stay out of their way. If he truly wants to win as bad as he supposedly says he does, he would do it.
