So many big saves which kept us in the game and gave the Sabres a chance to fight their way out of the deficit. Way too many penalties taken once again but the PK was clutch. Just win. Effort is better on PK than its been in the recent past. I see guys in lanes and willing to sacrifice more than in the past. Clifton, Power, Tuch and Dahlin all have 30+ blocked shots. Not willing to go all in yet with this team but I have broken the Sabres sweatshirt out of mothballs. Quote
BillsPride12 Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Just scored tickets to the Thanksgiving Eve game on Wednesday. Will be my first game in person this season. Hopefully the Sabres show up and keep the W train going. Those Turkey Day eve games are usually pretty fun to be at, full crowd and everybody in Holiday mode. As long as the Sabres show up should be a fun night out 5 1 Quote

QCity Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Barn will be packed tonight with a rowdy crowd. A victory against a great MIN team feels like it would be a signature win for this season. Quote

Should this be the night I break out the pirate gear and finally consent to watch a game for the first time this year decade? 🤔 Quote

Sabres look great 1st and 2nd periods, with a couple of power-play goals. Sabres fall asleep, and Minn ties it up and wins it in overtime. Just drink instead. We need a drunk mod for Thanksgiving football. 1 Quote

And while I'll be throwing them down tomorrow (for the first time since the Ellicottville Beer festival three weeks ago), I'll have a house full of people and will not even be taking a casual glance at a computer. In other words, the mischief lamp is lit. 1 Quote

AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted November 28 Posted November 28 I don’t want to overreact to any singular win or loss, but it’s so Sabrsey to come home from a successful road trip to lay an absolute egg in your own barn on a festive evening when everyone is in an upbeat mood … just don’t trust these guys to get it done 1 1 Quote

Sabres played great. Held Minnesota, one of the top teams in the NHL to one goal. The Sabres got beat by a great goaltender who was on top of his game tonight. Quote

Last night was a big spot for a fan bases psyche and again, the sabres failed. 1 1 Quote
Beast Posted November 28 Posted November 28 Rough outcome for a game they deserved a better fate in. Just bounce back tomorrow. 54 minutes ago, AlCowlingsTaxiService said: I did. Educated fans saw last night’s game for what it was. I’ll take that effort each and every night of the season. 1 1 1 Quote
