Jauronimo Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Just now, That's No Moon said: Which one is Samuelsson and which one is Jokiharu? That was pretty good. Joker is definitely the dramatic one with his headless chicken schtick. And Sammy got injured after his stint in the press box, so he's our soft. Tage and possibly UPL are also injured, if Ruff's presser is to be believed. Quote
Bray Wyatt Posted November 11 Posted November 11 No reason to give up that many goals to Montreal. Also it sounded like a home game for them there, sad. Hope Tage's injury isnt serious Quote

US Egg Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Twelve goals on 41 shots. Quite the save and shooting percentage. Quote
BillsPride12 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 I caught the tail end of the NHL Hall of Fame Induction ceremony last night. Saw Pavel Datsyuk and Jeremy Roenick's inductions. Man I miss that era of NHL so much, made me realize how overall checked out on the NHL I am now compared to those days Quote
QCity Posted November 14 Posted November 14 NHL rumblings: Ken Holland’s new role, early trade market, tampering, CBA and more from GMs meeting LeBrun from The Athletic: Trade rumblings • League sources say the Buffalo Sabres are among the busier teams phoning around sizing up the trade market. I asked Sabres GM Kevyn Adams about that Tuesday, and he said, “I believe in this group, but at the same time I am looking into every possible way to improve our roster.” Said one rival team executive about the Sabres: “They’re looking to do something big if they can.” Quote

I wonder what they would be targeting. A second line center and/or wing? A goalie? A Samuelson replacement? All of the positions I think could benefit from an upgrade are currently occupied by young talent some of which we have already made significant financial investments in. Don't know if that's consistent with a long-term view. And who is our trade bait? Quinn? Quote

Pete Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Nice win Sabres! https://www.espn.com/nhl/standings/_/view/wild-card Sabres are one point out of the wildcard after yesterdays win 1 Quote

It was nice to see the Sabres be smart for once at the end of the game and just wait til OT to go on the PP instead of just rushing down to the other end. Not sure how long Tage is out, but need to scrape some points together until he gets back and this was a good start 1 Quote
That's No Moon Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Looked a little better last night. Especially in the 3rd. More gumption than they've shown in awhile. Cozens play on the disallowed goal was nice to see as was the consistent traffic in front of Binnington. 2 Quote

Jauronimo Posted November 17 Posted November 17 This may be a controversial take, but I actually thought there were a lot of positives to take away from last night's game, like... Sorry, I couldn't think of any. The Sabres looked like complete ass in all phases of the game. That was a disaster. I don't think this team has any faith in Levi and I don't blame them. His save % is 0.870, and he is averaging 4 goals a game. Lindy needs to decline penalties until Tage gets back. Power play was a disaster. Who wants to be above 0.500 anyway? Not me. 1 Quote

You've just been promoted to GM! 😆 Quote
78thealltimegreat Posted November 17 Posted November 17 The Sabres aren’t terrible but they need more stability in goal. I will say this Matvei Michkov I don’t know who the Flyers brass bribed in the Russian Government to let him come over early but man that kid is going to the be a star. Quote

It is disappointing that we went into the season planning on him being our backup only to send him back down again. That was a rather obvious error right off the bat. 3 Quote
