I'm curious as to the degree of cosmic control I have over the universe. Sorry.

Well, your avatar is a moon-like object. That's a lot of gravity.

They look the same. Enjoy them.

I saw a team that belongs on the ice with the best teams in the league.  I saw a team that was not pushed around by a very physical Panthers team.  Totally disagree this take.

I agree. They were legitimately pissed off in the 3rd period when they fell behind. In the past they would have meekly given up and went home. The game was a lot closer than that final score.

Also Florida is a juggernaut. JFC that team is stacked.

All I want for Christmas is a goalie who can stop over 90% of SOG, UPL tonight was 84% and lets in a lot of softies

I wasn't thrilled with the last two goals given up.  They were nice shots but from that angle and distance I don't think NHL goalies get burned twice.  He made some nice saves tonight but I think he would like one if not both of those back.

Before Dahlin two handed that dude in the face I really thought they were going to tie it up.  They came very close to making it 3-3 on the PP opportunity minutes before.  PP finally showing signs of life.

They were overly aggressive and took dumb penalties but I am encouraged by the physicality of this team.  They did not back down.  Last year this team would be pushed around for 60 minutes and then Krebs would get his face caved in to send some kind of futile message.

Yeah I did not have "Dahlin two-handing Lundell in the face" on my Bingo card. This is definitely not the UPL that went on that January-April hot streak last year. He looks very average.

Then don't watch 'em, bro.

Saying "they look the same" tells me how little you know hockey.

I actually think this should give the team some confidence going forward. It was a one goal game until late, they got down 2-0 after the first and tied it up in the second. Actually could have had another in the second period, where we shot it over the net.

Quinn I think had a bad game, and Tage was not as sharp it felt like as in the last couple, and yet they were still there.

1. Ok

2. 2-0 first period deficit, lost 5-2 they looked like naive little boys playing against men last night.

Florida is cup champs so they are, you know, good.  Did you notice how hard the Sabres played them? Very physical. Gave them a lot of trouble. That's different from the same old Sabres. And they did manage to come back. But you can't make mistakes against a good team. So they lost. They weren't going 82-0. Next game is Friday. Move on.

I feel like you missed a couple of my previous posts, but whatever. I said I'd give them a game of my time if they won 3. I gave them a game and if I'm really honest about I was halfway back out the door after the first period. Maybe I'll flip them on again at some point later in the middle of winter when there's nothing else going on. Probably not. Definitely not appointment viewing though.

And if that makes me a bandwagon fan, that's fine.  Their level of ineptitude over that period of time made me not want to watch hockey anymore. It's not that I don't watch the Sabres, I don't watch the sport that much anymore. My son went to their last home playoff game. He was 5. He's now a freshman in college. He was also a hockey player himself. I would have liked to enjoy Sabres hockey with him more as a child but that ship sailed and yes I'm a little bitter about it.

The nhl is a random league and you get random results every night

The nhl season is a marathon in consistency.  The sabres don't have that, and haven't had it in a few decades.  The are 4-8, ties for the worst in the conference and a point out from the worst in the nhl.

There seems to be no drive to win.  Goes from the owner on down to the players.  Pegula thinks winning is inevitable if he just sticks with his twisted philosophies and principles of running an nhl team.  The standard is not winning every day.  The standard is a stall tactic until this "winning" eventually comes.

They haven't conducted a coaching search in several years.  Mainly because pegula and adams are clowns, want to be comfortable, and real candidates wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole.  Our next head coach is being groomed behind the bench, with limited credentials, and coaching "up" the nhl's worst special teams.

I feel like sending them all to Rochester and calling the entire Amerks team up. 🤬

It's like these guys can't be coached. Oh sure, trade one to the Avalanche and all of a sudden they remember what to do. But in Buffalo? "Sorry, what am I supposed to do with the puck?"

To be fair, Mittelstadt was our leading scorer when he was traded, and had been for a while.

that was just a terrible, terrible trade. The last thing they needed was another left handed offensive defenseman. It made zero sense as soon as it happened.

and it’s not just Mittelstadt who’s looking great after leaving Buffalo. It’s been a consistent thing going all the way back to Botterill.

ROR, Montour, Reinhart, Eichel, Hagel, Rodrigues. Even Bogosian won a cup the year he left Buffalo.

It seems like literally everyone they trade away blossoms. To me, that clearly shows the issue is with the Sabres organization.

Mittelstadt has some decent points so far, but he's still -8.

It seems that benching some of the boys has had the desired effect. Shame nobody was able to push that button sooner.

Its November.  Quinn has already been sent to the press box for poor play.  Now Sammy and Jokiharju. How much sooner can you get than one month in?
