And last year, their top pick was big pass catcher in Kincaid. These guys should be able to "win" on fades and jump balls in the end zone. I have not followed camp that closely, but I do recall seeing a lot of those types of plays in the recaps. folz Posted August 14 Share Posted August 14 If this is actually a thing, it's probably due to our previous "smurf" receivers and small (Singletary) or ineffective (Moss) RBs. Damien Harris was supposed to help there last year, but got injured. We've had a lot of small skill players. That is why a lot of our goal line TDs were Josh running it in or Knox catching a TD (there is a reason Knox had so many TDs over a couple of years). Davis had some size, but was never a decent red zone threat. Our receiver room is now much bigger and they drafted Davis in the backfield. It wouldn't include any Allen runs or even scrambles. No surprise at all that we rank low in that hyper specific scenario with I would assume a very low sample size. We don't have Andy Reid drawing up easy button shovel passes and we didn't have any contested catch specialists last year. FWIW we ranked 4th in red zone TD% last year at 63.89% (KC ranked 19th at 51.25%).
