Video: Why is Kamala Harris so reluctant to do an interview after becoming the Dem nominee?

Recommended Posts

She wasn't even running for president 20 days ago. Since then, she's had to take over a political campaign organization, secure support within the party, do a bunch of rallies, and pick a VP. Gotta think that a sit down interview with the press hasn't been at the top of her list.

I would prefer she do a substantive interview before the convention but her polling numbers have basically only gone up. So what she's doing seems to be working anyway.

Yes, we agree he said the wrong guy's last name.  How do you know he was lying about the helicopter being in trouble? Because Gavin Newsome said so?  My guess is that the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

So you lean towards demented Don version of truth. Weird!

He made up a whole story and you want to pass it off as thinking of wrong guy, gotcha!

Didn't Newsome claim to bet there? And you think it's all made up because Gavin Newsome said so? Believing THAT is weird.

Dude, Trump made up a really stupid and easily disproved story and that is the hill you want to die on?

Why are you even trying here? Do you lie and evade the truth like this in your everyday life?

Found one reliable media outlet with a shred of integrity.

There’s a realistic choice of two candidates. As the article said, she’s choosing to be vanilla ( or chocolate) and let the extremism candidate implode. Smart. We’ll hear policy at the debate and her presser by the end of the month

I wasn't on the helicopter, were you? Why not just disprove it?  I have no idea what actually happened,  and as I said above the truth is probably somewhere the middle.

What are you so upset about here, Tibs? That Trump confused Jerry with Willie? That the landing may or may not have been an emergency landing? That Jerry and Gavin may have  trash talked Kamala behind closed doors? What has you in such a furious tizzy here?

You’re the one playing dumb ( or maybe u really are). Trump agreed to the ABC September 10 debate. Then he didn’t. Now he does. What do you make of that?

He agreed to the debate with Biden, not her. But ultimately he agreed to honor that debate. So he’s not scared of her and never was because there’s nothing to be scared of.  You’re the dumb one if you buy that lie.

She OTOH ran/is running from a debate on Fox because she’s scared of leaving her safe space. And if she doesn’t show up on September 4th, she’ll prove that to the country.

She says she might do one by the end of August…ONE (1) by the end of the month- 3 weeks away…

That would mean she would have been a presumptive presidential candidate for roughly a month and a half, without doing a sit down interview…

This is very curious…With so little time before the election, wouldn’t you want to let people get to know you, and what you stand for?

I think history has shown it's largely irrelevant.  Her predecessor, JB, was falling off the cognitive cliff over the past 4 years, and supporters bought into the theory that he was still pretty darn sharp.  Had he stayed in the race, they would be buying it still, pushing forward and voting the party line.  There's history here--for all the cult talk and OJ chatter,  Biden has a rather rich history of lying and it was ignored, a dark history of being very touchy feely and creeping women out (it was Harris who stated emphatically she believed the allegations of assault agaisnt JB), Biden and classified documents, slippage, interpretation of the laws regarding classified documents on the fly, and Harris spreading vaccine hysteria when the world was supposedly on the precipice....none of it really mattered.

JB blows a gasket, the word goes out that Harris is the heir apparent, they simply crossed out Biden and wrote Harris in crayon.

If the race is to be won by DJT, it's going to come at ground level, convincing the American independent that the Harris/Walz ticket results in a bad outcome for the country.  How that happens, why that happens remains to be seen.   It's a tall order, for example--one of the central themes of today's modern dem party is to encourage their base to get up, get out, roll up their sleeves and get to the hard work of finding someone else to pay school debt, in spite of constitutional limitations.   When you factor in independents seeing a path to having their debt load lightened, it's hard to walk away from the free stuff.

The confusion is that he knows she's winning.  Otherwise he would have stuck to his guns about not doing ABC and only doing Fox.  He showed that she now has the upper hand.  She hasn't refused Fox.  She'd be wise to wait and see how the first debate goes before committing to anything else.  She may have a decent lead by then.

You completely ignore the new "anyone but trump" voters.  They're increasing and more shite shows like yesterdays presser will increase that group rapidly.  And there will be more.  He's lost it.
