The fundamental thing I missed from 2016-2023 that explains Trump's popularity turns out to be very simple. He has made it ok for regular Americans to love their country again.

The slanderous charges that he's a white supremacist and a Russian asset are angry reactions to the idea that America is a net good for the world and worthy of love.

For the people who have been programmed to hate America and only be critical of our history, Trump stands for everything they loathe.

Having communist meeting fliers placed in my neighborhood by the same people who took over multiple college campuses within three miles of my house, while watching them with my own eyes cheer Iran's missile launch and chant "death to Israel, death to America" clarifies things.

And then to see a 1/3 of democrats wish that Trump had been killed, and another third claim he staged the shooting while completely discounting what Trump's supporters must be going through has made things crystal clear.

We are dealing with a deranged left that has talked themselves into a delusional state of rage based on the distorted and false narratives that they have reinforced as true within their own bubble for the last 8 years. And they have no ability to see reality outside their own bubble. Which means they don't see how ***** weird they have become.

As someone who hasn't voted for a Republican this century, I'm at the point where voting for Trump seems like the most normal thing I could do.

does politics get your dick hard or something? I just found this forum…and it’s bizarre going back reading some of your posts, the amount of false disinformation being shared from Twitter is wild. Like touch grass weirdo.

Based on your posts over a couple days you seem rather dick-centric. Good for you but aren’t there a bazillion dick-related places you can hang out?

If he’s going to go this route and blatantly lie about his service, Republicans need to swift boat him all the way back to Minnesota.

Why do you feel the need to constantly spread false information about Walz? Are you that scared by him that you feel the need to lie? Very sad.

The choice is bizarre for a number of obvious reasons, though as a miscalculation it makes sense as an insight into Harris’s understanding of America in this moment.

For an election where the economy, immigration and crime are paramount voter concerns, Harris has just added a blue-state governor who is weak on all three.

Minnesota has seen a shrinking workforce with residents fleeing the state at record levels during Walz’s tenure, his record on border security is marked by little more than unserious flippancy — and as for crime, well… Walz’s record during the summer of George Floyd will be central to Republican attacks. Even Walz himself admitted in a press conference the response to the rioters was an “abject failure”; his slow action in that moment — combined with Harris’s promotion of a bailout fund for those same rioters — hands the Trump-Vance campaign a viscerally powerful attack line at just the moment they needed it.

In a vibes-based election, apparently Democrats think picking a white bespectacled “I would have voted for Obama for a third term” guy who happens to wear a field jacket is all it takes to transform a politician who makes fellow Minnesotans Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale look conservative into a “moderate.” Moderation is a label rendered particularly ridiculous when assigned to one of the most radical culture-war governors in America.

Walz is big on getting rid of any limits for any leftist priorities. He signed an extreme bill with no age limit on transgender treatment for minors — consistent with the Biden administration’s advice, but utterly at odds with the scientific treatment trends out of Europe.

He signed abortion policies into law that have no gestational limits; even Planned Parenthood itself officially agrees this is the most pro-abortion ticket ever.

And that’s before you get to all the other issues — education, energy, guns and more. It’s impossible to find an issue where Walz can conceivably be described as in the political middle of the nation — which is probably why even though he’s from the same state as Amy Klobuchar, his winning cohort was completely different.

If you buy the idea that Walz’s appearance will lend itself to a veneer of centrism, disguising his DSA-friendly leftism as folksy and familiar instead of radical, there are plenty of media partisans willing to sell that line to you. But for the Harris campaign, this seems like a selection with massive potential to backfire. Choosing Josh Shapiro or Mark Kelly might not have inspired the progressive activists, but they would absolutely come around in an election waged against Trump and Vance.

So instead of picking a popular swing-state politician who would appeal to normie Independent voters, Harris is doubling down on progressive left energy in a way that seems, in a repeat of the nature of her presidential campaign failed in 2020, way too online.

This hand wringing is so pathetic.

“he made it ok to love your country again” holy ***** dude, go outside.

You’re crying about “communists” as if colleges haven’t been full of weirdo leftists since Lenin was strolling through Moscow. It’s nothing new, but you believe it is.

One would think a likable, funny, authentic, relatable guy would be more beloved in the rural communities of Minnesota.

Very well said.

I've heard from more than a few people who were staunchly anti Trump who now plan to vote for him this time. The range goes from holding their nose to crawling across broken glass in 2024. Everyone has their breaking point.

Sadly, I don't think it will matter. I still don't think people fully realize just how evil these people are who have taken over our institutions in recent decades. They will stop at absolutely nothing to remain in power.

The election will be rigged again and if that fails, well Jamie Raskin gave us a sneak peak into part of the plan.

Trump will never be allowed to be POTUS again.

They'll burn the country to the ground before that will be allowed to happen.

Kamala is staunchly in favor of DEI that is straight out of the Frankfurt school of Marxism. She talks constantly, well at least before she began running for POTUS, about equity. Equity is forced equal outcomes as opposed to equality of opportunity.

Walz says socialism is neighborly.

These are straight out in the open Marxist concepts that they both have explicitly and publicly supported over and over and over.

Roundy: oooohhh those scary communists!

Just like a good useful idiot.

Harris/Walz, policy-wise is an absolutely insane ticket.  Way outside the mainstream views on almost every major topic.

That being said.. none of that matters if the media doesn’t cover any of it, doesn’t demand they answer any questions and Trump continues to self sabotage his campaign.

Tim Walz: A Veteran from Rural America?

Reportedly, the Democrats hope that Tim Walz can appeal to rural and small-town voters who might otherwise succumb to MAGA mania. They also want to sell him as a distinguished veteran of military service.

In fact, while Walz has at times lived in small towns, he is arrogantly contemptuous of rural America. He infamously told fellow Democrats not to worry about the broad red swaths on electoral maps, since those rural areas consist of “mostly rocks and cows.” That line was so notorious that rural Minnesotans banded together to form a group called Rocks and Cows of Minnesota, which sold merchandise and erected anti-Walz billboards across the state.

And when he ran for re-election in 2022, Walz was nearly shut out in rural Minnesota

They know him as a phony.

He went from winning the state by 11 points, running under false pretense, to winning re-election by 7 points.. in a reliably blue state, in which he presided over record net migration out of Minnesota, mainly to Florida and Texas.

Hes a manufactured hicklib to pair with manufactured brat Kamala, running a campaign based on vibes.

It only works if Trump continues being a one man clownshow.

A guy that helped and encouraged looters and rioters burn down Minneapolis that was picked to placate the far-left, after they threw tantrums behind the scenes at the choice of a better alternative to attract moderates and independents in Shapiro, doesn't scare anyone and should be easy for Vance to destroy in any 1:1 debate. If I'm Trump I'm saying bring it on ass wipes. The honeymoon will soon be over. This socialist wet dream ticket of Harris/Waltz ticket is a joke.
