KingBoots8 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) Tornado hits downtown Buffalo. Checking in to make sure local fans are ok. Not Bills/Stadium related directly, so move if needed, but hope everyone is safe. EDIT: Looks like it touched down on Niagara Street and Carolina. I’ve read some damage was done in Welland, Stevensville, and Ft Erie as well. Edited August 5 by KingBoots8 1 12 Quote
Gambit Posted August 5 Posted August 5 So scary that it just happened. There was zero warning. I really hope everyone is safe. 1 Quote
BigDingus Posted August 5 Posted August 5 That's the most puny tornado I've ever seen. Back in my granpappy's day, he'd call that a "dust-devil!" 5 3 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) I’ve said I’ll take Blizzards over tornadoes every time. This is the 2nd tornado to hit WNY in the last few weeks. What is going on? Edited August 5 by Buffalo_Stampede 2 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Another reason not to have the stadium downtown 2 15 1 Quote

I always laugh at people in Texas when they get some snow and shut down the state. They’re probably laughing at us with our baby tornado. 3 2 Quote

gonzo1105 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Funny that I moved out of New York State and moved to Arkansas for work and I have yet to have a tornado anywhere close to me and I'm in Tornado/Dixie alley but New York State has gotten hit with a bunch this year after my tree last year hit my garage after a microburst in NYS Quote

Let's Go Buffalo Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Hope everyone's fine. I'm from Kansas, and we see too many tornadoes rip through our neck of the woods. My Grandparents' farm got totaled twice with two huge tornadoes less than ten years apart. 2 Quote

Everyone tries driving normal speed & we get crashes everywhere 😅 1 Quote
Rubes Posted August 5 Posted August 5 That's why you don't put a roof on a stadium. Just get torn off by a tornado. 1 9 2 Quote
Big Turk Posted August 5 Posted August 5 this is wild...that's the 9th tornado in the last 2-3 weeks in the area...we probably haven't had that many in the last 5-10 years. Quote

NINE? Y’all don’t understand how much I fear tornadoes. Twister is a horror movie to me. 1 Quote
aristocrat Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Is this like a promo for the twisters movie? Just saw it last night and it was maybe the worst movie I’ve ever seen. 1 1 Quote

The area I live in, West Tennessee has experienced two major tornados - very destructive- in the last two years, each in February; in 1999 it destroyed our whole our downtown area completely, feel for your grandparents! 1 Quote
