sherpa Posted October 17 Posted October 17 I think she is incompetent on every level, but none more so than the military, foreign policy, and specifically Israel. Thumbing her nose at Netanyahu's appearance before the US Senate, and then having the US UN Am ambassador not bother to show up at his Security Council presentation are gross misjudgments, and set the stage for incredibly successful IDF actions the last few weeks as the IDF realizes it is on its own. 1 1
Roundybout Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Well done! Now Israel can be done, right? Theyre done now, right?!

You obviously support an immediate return of the hostages, and an end to hostilities? Netanyahu, too. https://nypost.com/2024/10/17/world-news/israeli-drone-captures-yahya-sinwars-last-moments-alive/ “To the people of Gaza, I have a simple message,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement. “This war can end tomorrow. “It can end if Hamas lays down its arms and returns our hostages. Israel will guarantee the safety of all those who return our hostages,” Netanyahu added.

Did they lie, do you think, or make a statement in an attempt to create outrage and to force Israel to capitulate? Or, did Netanyahu set them up, attempting to embarrass the Harris/Biden admin? I think it seems clear they probably would prefer a Trump presidency given the treatment received from the current Washington crowd. Seems to me the most reasonable resolution would be for Hamas and the Palestinians to agree to release all hostages, living or dead, and turn over any people responsible for murder, torture or barbaric treatment while in their custody. Once safely returned, Hamas stands down, then the Israeli's follow suit. Sensible, yes? 2
Doc Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Hamas needs to return the hostages and leave Gaza. Until then...
