TBBills Fan
Thoughts? I loved it. A lot of fan service, but still lots of crude humour and violence. Not as funny as 1 or 2, but being the third installment, it was good. After all, most third installments of a franchise are hot garbage I don't want to post any spoilers yet but the cameos are great
Virgil
Absolutely loved it. As a comic book fan, and a watcher of the Marvel cinematic universe, this movie was almost perfect. For fans of both characters, you were able to see many things from the comics that you never thought you'd have the opportunity to see on the big screen, and so many cameo's from dead projects that deserved better. Granted, if you haven't followed the comics or the characters, or you don't really follow the movies, it's probably an average film at best.

So casual fans might be like meh. However, this one was for fans who have watched all the movies or comic fans They announced RDJ as Dr Doom. Not sure how I feel about that. I am aware of the comic where a iron man variant becomes Doom, but still..

It’s fine if you want to do a cameo in the multiverse that way. But to have that be your main Doom? It’s lazy. Doom is one of the biggest villains of the mcu and you are just casually changing his entire identity. It feels desperate because of how the mcu has been failing 1

He's iconic iron man. Doom is definitely iconic, so many good choices. Plus RDJ is getting old....it makes this "til your 90" joke hit home on a sad way. It feels wrong. RDJ could have come back a million other ways. If they don't hit a grand slam, this could be the jump the shark moment

My youngest son, in his early 20s is. The lady I went with liked it too, and she's less of a comic book fan than me. Actually I find the later Marvel/DC movies way too dark, too...serious. Deadpool is decidely different. There is wit, fourth wall breaking, self deprecating humor, all interspersed with the action in the movie. Those elements make his movies work so well. The first half hour/45 minutes were rough and boring, and a pretty cliche storyline for a sequel. Bringing back aging Marvel characters except for 1 or 2 (you know who they are), didn't really add to it. But the fight scene in the minivan...couldn't stop laughing. The background music was perfect. I'm sure I missed enough Marvel references pr "easter eggs", but caught enough to where I wasn't totally lost. You could tell that Hugh Jackman wanted to do the movie, and didn't just phone it in.

TheyCallMeAndy
Absolutely loved it, I think it’s the only movie I’ve seen in theatres twice. Hugh is 55, but I hope he does Wolverine a few more times.
