DrDawkinstein Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) Love seeing this thread. Makes me want to bump the "McDaniel given 5 year extension" thread too. But it does make me long for what could have been... "Pats sign Mac Jones to $50M/yr extension" Edited January 15 by DrDawkinstein 1 Quote
mike22nc Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) I'd love to pile on, but the chart is insanely misleading. It has multiple columns, but is sorted by "progression rate" as if it is a function of all of the others. However, "progression rate" as they have it is simply (100% - "designated receiver"%). They've defined designated receiver as the percentage of jet sweeps, shovel passes and screens. It's completely bogus and is only a measure of the frequency of those types of plays in the offense. I dont need any charts or figures to know that Tua is NOT worth $50M/yr. 3 Quote

Before the Bills playoff game against the Pats the discussion on a Boston radio station was "When will Mack Jones get in to the Hall of Fame?" ...it was not "will" or "if" It was "when." Edit: the back and forth of some of the debate was whether he would be a first ballot HoFer or will he have to wait a few years. Edited January 15 by dollars 2 donuts 3 Quote

I would much prefer if they didn't sign him It's crazy that Bills fans think this is a bad thing for the Dolphins. It's bad because of his concussion history. Quote

While I'm not entirely sure which one is Tua (is he the chubby guy in the middle... only partially kidding), the number of people who could accidently come in contact with his highly susceptible noggin has to be unnerving to Miami's brass. HOUSE Posted Wednesday at 11:55 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:55 AM The Browns and Dolphins are so screwed now chasing every available QB no matter what the cost. I ALMOST FEEL SORRY FOR THEIR FANS, ALMOST... 1 Quote

Playing in the NFL is damn hard. The guy deserves to enjoy his down time. Now if he hasn't worked out at all... fair criticism. But I truly doubt that is the case. 1 Quote

I havent seen anything at all He's there for 2 more years, no matter what. The dead cap is just not worth it. Will be interesting tho. If they flounder again this year, and they will, I could see Ross clean house and fire both Grier and McDaniel. That's the prevailing thought on why Grier is being given another year at all, Ross wants to replace both the GM and HC at the same time instead of this piecemeal stuff. If they end up with a new staff in 2026, I could see them giving Tua 1 last shot under the new guys and then cutting bait in 2027. Quote
