Roundybout Posted July 23 Posted July 23 I thought a thread to serve as a catch-all for other teams’ training camp news might be useful, rather than individual threads. To start, things going well over in Jetsland. 1 4 2 1 Quote
Gregg Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Adam Schefter on X: "Sources: Jets DE Haason Reddick, who has not landed the new contract he has been seeking, is not planning to report to training camp today with the rest of his team. The Jets traded a conditional 2026 third-round pick that could become a second-round pick when they acquired https://t.co/iORMRMhBY2" / X Quote

Slippery Rubber Mats Posted July 23 Posted July 23 (edited) The Reddick thing is so dumb. Yeah, Reddick lied to the Jets. So they are probably miffed at that. But give the guy guarantees for 24, and then move on after the year. Get the guy in camp and playing. Giving up a 3rd (possibly 2nd) wasn't very smart if you weren't going to extend, which it looks like they did not intend to. So one guy lied (Reddick), and the other guy played it really dumb (Douglas). Edited July 23 by Slippery Rubber Mats Quote

This move, along with several others this offseason, show that 2024 is a make or break year for that regime 1 Quote

He said to the media that last year was totally unacceptable and he let JD and Saleh know how mad he was. If they fail again this year, they will probably clean house. Saleh for sure will be gone. 1 Quote

MikePJ76 Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Bryan Broaddus here in DFW is saying that he believes the cowboys are wondering whether or not to trade Micah Parsons instead of paying him next year. Parsons is a huge whiny baby so this should go over well. Quote

I mean with the whole Aaron Rodgers thing it's not like the Jets couldn't be just thinking short term, which is so very stupid. 1 Quote

I would imagine teams would not want to give up draft capital for a guy they can just sign in free agency at this point in the year. Also the cowboys operate as one of the safest teams in the league. The jones family are really dumb so they don't really have anything to offer other than just retrying the same things over and over. That is why Mike Zimmer is back as the DC after the fans had a movement 20 years ago to run him out of town when parcells left. So Dak and these guys are going nowhere. The Jones family will always take the safe route because it keeps optimism up in the offseason and they can continue to market which is their main priority. 2 Quote
Logic Posted July 23 Posted July 23 If anyone doesn't already follow @32BeatWriters on Twitter, they should! It's an account that aggregates any kind of news or training camp reports from all 32 teams and posts them on Twitter daily, as well as re-Tweeting pertinent reports from others. It's a MUST for serious dynasty/fantasy football players and just for NFL news junkies in general. Just to give a few examples... 1 1 4 Quote

Sounds like the Raiders are taking the year off, how nice for the Chiefs. Quote

In fairness, the Raiders could say "we're going all out, balls to the wall, and gunning for a Lombardi", and they STILL likely wouldn't pose even a whisper of a threat to the Chiefs. Luckily we also have a Raiders in our own division: the Brissett led New England Patriots. Quote
