That's all he needed to do at the debate. Not the teleprompter; just the yelling. Trump proved that it doesn't matter whether what you yell is responsive to the question. If you are loud enough and repetitive enough they'll say you were forceful and successful. The lack of a live audience worked to his detriment even though that's what his team negotiated.
