That's only because she isn't actually going to be the nominee

Yeah I wouldn't schedule any debate now.  If at all.

Barack Obama doesn’t endorse Kamala
Harris, says Dems will pick ‘outstanding nominee’

by Steven Nelson

Former President Barack Obama didn’t endorse Kamala Harris — saying Democrats would pick an unnamed “outstanding nominee” in his first statement on President Biden stepping aside from the party’s ticket. “We will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead,” said Obama, 62. “But I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges.” Some Democrats fear that Harris, the 59-year-old vice president, could further diminish the party’s chances against former President Donald Trump, 78, in the Nov. 5 election.

Why do all of you hate women of color being in power?

Yeah, the attacks against her in this thread have been enlightening to say the least.

Will Trumps question be about the Central Park 5, though I guess they'd ask him why he doubled down after the convictions were vacated.

Future President Harris’s support for law enforcement appears to be a murky situation. Perhaps nuanced is a better word than murky.

https://www.vice.com/en/article/qj4nxw/progressives-think-kamala-is-a-cop-but-cops-hated-harris-for-years

At officer Isaac Espinoza’s funeral a few days later, California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat, used her eulogy to attack Harris.

“This is not only the definition of tragedy; it’s the special circumstance called for by the death penalty law,” Feinstein said. The thousands of cops in attendance at St. Mary’s Cathedral roared to their feet as Harris sat staring ahead stone-faced.

“It was like a bomb,” said Chris Cunnie, a former head of the local police union who later went on to work for Harris and was sitting in a pew across the aisle from Harris when Feinstein delivered her rebuke. “I’ve never been in a church where the whole church was up clapping. The only person who didn’t stand up was the archbishop.”

What a way to twist what that was all about, the reality of that situation was that Harris ran for California Attorney General promising that she would not pursue the death penalty in cases, you can agree with it or not that's what she did. So in what is actually a rare moment of political integrity in our world she held to her promise and didn't cave to pressure.

The Real Problem With Kamala

No one to count on.

by Daniel Greenfield

FTA:

From a practical politics standpoint anyone (or almost) anyone can be turned into a viable public-facing figure with enough cultural firepower behind them. Look at what they managed to do with an obscure  Vermont socialist crank and an obnoxious Westchester hipster of Puerto Rican descent.

The real issue is that Kamala is leadership kryptonite. Her original presidential campaign dissolved into infighting between her staff and her sister. And she dropped out before she could even contest a primary.

As vice president, she not only made zero impact on anything, but her office staff abandoned ship. The only thing she made into a signature issue was opposing Israel over the war with Hamas.

That’s not a dealbreaker, but her inability to run anything is. Biden was an empty space that his staff filled. Kamala isn’t an empty space, she’s worse, like a lot of CBC members, she seems to be a bad boss with a penchant for nurturing drama around her. That wouldn’t be a first in the White House, but it’s especially damaging during a campaign.

Biden, as terrible as he was, had a circle of loyalists who served him to the bitter end. He tended to be abusive, but like every successful D.C. lifer, he had people he count on. That’s why he lasted this long even well past the point where he could meaningfully function.

Kamala does not. Her people come and go. She has few loyalists and her staff tend to wash out quickly. It’s one thing for this to be the case for female CBC house members (which it often is) but it’s a major problem for a presidential candidate running a national campaign. It means she doesn’t have meaningful support and in a business where politicians can’t do anything without loyal staffers, it’s a hole. A big one.

This isn’t something the average person cares about, but people in D.C. politics do. They see it as a serious failing that will impede her ability to succeed. It’s why they don’t think she can go the distance. And why they’re hesitant to get behind her.

As I write this, Democrat stalwarts and media revisionists (but I repeat myself) are undoubtedly busy trying to rewrite Harris' troubling track record - including the one she had as a United States senator. But there's one issue from which Harris may not be able to escape: her role in covering for Joe Biden even as it was obvious to senior cabinet members, the press, and beyond as to what was really going on:

Something isn’t right.

Axios has been running hit pieces on Harris the last 12 hours.

Axios and Obama are locked at the hip.

Meanwhile, still no proof of life being asked in the media and who is running the country.

If you think January 6 was the worst thing you’ve ever seen and this is ok - seek help.

I mean I have literally seen nothing that backs this up so far, just a whole lot of hate, but don't worry it's not like she's going up against a multiple felon, civilly liable rapist or something.....right?

She admitted to smoking weed and then extended sentencing guidelines for marijuana users, for starters. Going so far as to gloat that she even inhaled while smoking weed frequently while younger before becoming the AG of CA.

Regardless, nothing in her political career was successful.

I predict that any post-Joe relief bump that Kamala gets in the polling,

will be quickly dashed when people see her start making appearances and speeches.

B-)

So much for that 'open process' Pelosi espoused as late as last Friday.

The Dump Biden plotters have thrown in the towel in finding a more electable candidate.

Maybe no one else wanted the job.
