B-Man Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Invite only? Interesting strategy. But in Johnstown, both the airport and bookstore were by invitation only – to the chagrin of voters who wanted to hear what the vice president could offer their left-behind city. “She’s hiding from most of the people,” Ed Luce told The Post. “She needs to convince a lot of the working poor people.” Johnstown used to be a union Democratic stronghold. After a 1977 flood destroyed the mines and mills, high-paying union jobs disappeared and the city gradually flipped red. Trump won the surrounding county with over 67% of the vote in 2016 and 2020. Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes are critical to victory this November. “Old school Democrats are what the Republicans are now,” said Jim Ardary, referring to the values of hard work and love of country. https://nypost.com/2024/09/14/us-news/kamala-harris-rallied-democrats-in-maga-land-pennsylvania-but-shut-out-the-working-poor/?

Well done George and good luck with the participation trophy award. Like with most people, it's largely personal.

If you want to stick to that story I'll counter and say that 100x more Americans are being murdered and assaulted because of the border czar's open border policy. Backintheday544 Posted September 17 Posted September 17 If I'm Harris, day 1 as President I commission a statute for whoever got Trump to agree to that June debate. Whoever it was changed the course of our country's history. 1

She showed undecideds that she has no desire to fix the problems the country is facing thanks to her Admin over the next 4 months that she's the de facto President, and no plan to fix them if she were elected President.

Undecideds seem to be gravitating to her as polling shows. We even see the post debate bump that you so nicely pointed out. She said what she will do there and the undecideds said yes please. While the most coherent thing Trump has said is I hate Taylor Swift, Harris is giving the people a message that’s resonating with them.

Again someone even Dems wanted replaced as Vice President is now a viable Presidential candidate. Sure.

We won’t know until Nov, but if I was a Republican right now, I’d be mad they couldn’t find a better option than Trump (who was never going to get more than 47 percent of the electorate) and would be worried about the position my candidate is in right now.

I haven't been worried. I knew it was either going to be Biden or Harris.
