And the Dols will definitely go after the signing bonus. i mean... He didn't play and he didn't get hurt so I'd assume he just gives it back. I assume team lawyers and player agents can figure this out for him. Quote

He just joined them so it's not like he's a longtime fan favorite they'll just let keep the money. Quote

Barrett can play again this season if he clears waivers Friday. If another team claims him, then Barrett would be ineligible to play the rest of this season. “We appreciate the Dolphins giving Shaq this opportunity to continue his career in the NFL,” said Barrett’s agent Drew Rosenhaus. “Hopefully he will pass through waivers and become a free agent so he can play again this season. He is in great shape and would be ready to play immediately.” 1 Quote
BeastMaster Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Beane should definitely be on the phone trying to convince him to sign with us Rumor was he was gonna sign with Philly, I think 2 Quote

ryguy101 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 never forget his pick six against the Bears a few years back. 20-17 Bucs leading with less than 5 min to go in the game right at the goal-line. Joe Davis: "intercepted by Shaq Barrett. fighting at the goal-line for a pick six!!" 1 1 Quote

Coffeesforclosers Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Anybody watch film on this guy? His box score scouting is pretty average. He's a single digit sacks per year DE, except for 2019, when he had 19.5. He's been playing since 2015 and his 2019 sack total is 1/3 of his career sacks. He's an old Epenesa unless he does something nuts on film that doesn't show up on the stat sheet. Quote

Kelly to Allen Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 (edited) Would rather just let Solomon get more pass rushing reps. But I'd be willing to give him a workout. You can never have enough pass rushers Edited December 27, 2024 by Kelly to Allen Quote

I’m pretty sure it’s because if nobody claims him his contract is void and he can sign a new contract with anyone and play. If he’s claimed on waivers the team claims his current contract and he wasn’t activated from IR before the deadline so he’s not eligible to play. 2 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 (edited) Should just go to Tampa where he has been an impact player for Todd Bowles in the past. Edited December 27, 2024 by MrEpsYtown Quote
