Seeing if these people put their money where their mouth is.

Like it?

I do.  Going on 7+ years now and haven't had to spend much money on maintenance.  Just new tires a couple years ago.  I haven't had to have the brakes changed even.  I love that I can charge at home, overnight.  My only complaint is charging time on long trips.

I don't own a Tesla. Won't buy an EV as the supporting infrastructure simply isn't there yet.

I have several friends who drive one....all liberal to far lefties.

Do you guys own Tesla's?

No but I use X for news and will eventually be buying one yes.

Also, I will be watching or subscribing to any news network he’s going to start.

Further, I’d like to ask the losers that should unapologetically support Musk because he stands for things - you used to believe in.

Your world view is broken.  Because you remained loyal to a party that went bag ***t (pun absolutely intended) crazy.

I don't but have at least 20 in my neighborhood and only complaint from all of them is that on long trips they have to plan extra, like going to NYC took several hours longer. Our houses all were built to make adding the stronger plug in our garage easy, so I believe all invested in that also.

Not sure how he will do as governmnet cost cutter, but we will see, won't we

I totally agree with this:

Both Trump and Elon Musk have voiced support for expanding drone use in combat and logistics over traditional manned aircraft. In typical fashion, Musk recently criticized the F-35 program on X, calling it “obsolete in the age of drones,” and that it is being run by “idiots” and endangers pilots. Meanwhile, Trump shared a video promoting growth in the U.S. VTOL aircraft industry to counter China’s dominance.

Well he can’t actually cut anything because DOGE is just a little shiny toy for Elon to diddle with to get him away from Trump.

However, I do hope that DOGE follows through on its recommendation to cut VA healthcare. That would be absolutely delicious.

House Minority Leader Wails About GOP
Killing Continuing Resolution, Elon Musk
Floors Him With Reality

by Bob Hoge

As we reported, the 1,500-page continuing resolution to fund the government that had been negotiated in the House saw a fiery demise Wednesday afternoon/evening after numerous Republicans and Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Vivek Ramaswamy savaged the measure for attempting to soak the people with bloated spending and J6 Committee-friendly provisions. It didn’t take long for Democrats to start whining, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) was at the forefront: Trump ally and X owner Elon Musk—co-chair along with Ramaswamy of the newly-established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—has become increasingly known for his pithy, devastating tweets that sum up situations in just a few words. He did not disappoint:

Elon Musk is a brilliant man.

But......and I've read that thing closely, he has absolutely no idea about the subject of the deployment of the F-35, nor air combat or fleet defense, and it is quite obvious in his expressed view.

This is late 2024, not 2028.

People's lives and nation's status are at stake, as well as international commerce.

That is the reality, and dealing with that reality is the mission of gov's.

Yup.

Exactly.

Please note that Tibsy immediately started a nonsense thread about this.

I would hope that my fellow PPP'ers would ignore it.

That and because he bought Twitter and took it away from them.
