President Biden is finalizing plans to endorse major changes to the Supreme Court in the coming weeks, including proposals for legislation to establish term limits for the justices and an enforceable ethics code, according to two people briefed on the plans.

He is also weighing whether to call for a constitutional amendment to eliminate broad immunity for presidents and other constitutional officeholders, the people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss private deliberations.

The announcement would mark a major shift for Biden, a former chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who has long resisted calls to reform the high court. The potential changes come in response to growing outrage among his supporters about recent ethics scandals surrounding Justice Clarence Thomas and decisions by the new court majority that have changed legal precedent on issues including abortion and federal regulatory powers.

When you don't like the game...change the rules.  Good luck because it won't work.

It will win votes to win the election. This court is very unpopular

Biden can't lose

Let’s see.  People that want to pack the Court bc decisions don’t go their way - likely already voting for these losers.

But thanks for confirming that they are petty tyrants.

The President doesn’t have the authority to do this. He will need senate approval and it would be dead on arrival. There’s a reason the branches are separate.

FDR tried to do this while he was incredibly popular and the plan was equally unpopular. A President with the approval rating of Biden? Good luck.

Biden is embarrassing himself right now.

Spastic interview with Lester Holt, yet another attack on the Supreme Court and floating government price controls.

I agree.

But you know, if Senators and Representatives have term limits also, I would almost take term limits for Justices,   0:)

Nothing says respecting the will of the people like unilaterally trying to change the constitution based on the fact your side keeps losing because they are  trying to do illegal things.

This is horrible optics.  The ones cheering it on lack self awareness.

Same people would be rioting if the right was talking of destroying checks and balances and usurping power he doesn't legally have.

LMFAO!  What a joke this guy is!

No, he's telling the truth.  I'm sure he didn't plan on having a performance that disastrous the first time either...

This could've been an exciting talking point for Kamala!

I wonder how she and her billion-dollar campaign missed it.
