Bills, Steelers joint practice on August 15

Perfect time to get Allen some reps with his new weapons without the worry of him taking a hit.  Give him all the reps you want in this controlled environment and let him sit out the actual games where stupid things can happen.

I went to this same joint practice at Steelers camp years ago (Marrone era).  Easier for Bills fans to go to this than to St. John Fisher. It’s just open fields and endless space and parking at Steelers camp.

Except I've read that this one will be held in a stadium and closed to the public.

I hope there’s a bunch of fights and multiple players on both sides get suspended and/or miss weeks due to fight-related injuries.

This just made the preseason game pointless unless you are interested in seeing mitch trubisky throw to the new wr crew.

All these teams that hold joint practices basically do even less in the preseason matchup.  Not that it matters.

Well, preseason isn't really for fan entertainment. They are for getting players reps. It's just a scrimmage and evaluation tool for the coaches. But, fans like to watch, so why not sell some tickets?

The best thing about preseason is it's the start of another tailgating season. As for the games the only thing that matters is to get through them without any injuries.

Yea my point is that the trend in the league is to get the starters a ton of work in these joint practices the week of their preseason matchup and then the preseason game matters even less to the coaches.  Then the game itself is diminished even more because they already got the work in they really wanted their guys to get.
