If this was a closer election, I think Youngkin would’ve been the pick. 
 

Also, I don’t think they’re worried about a Biden drop out anymore.  
 

Their internals show an electoral landslide and Trump is clearly confident in that lead.

By picking Vance,  Trump is probably hoping he can help in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
