“Landing” Michael Thomas?  Thomas would need to accept league minimum and beg for a chance to play with the Bills at this point.

If his options league wide max out at no guarantees in both making the roster or financially - sure. Bring him in and have a look in the Offseason.

 

But I have to imagine he'll be guaranteed more than that from someone.

He’s been a name to keep an eye on. Thomas has lost a step and battled injuries. He’s not the player that he was. With that being said, he’s a target monster. The slant god could eat a bunch of targets and be a possession guy for the Bills. With all of the targets vacated the Bills could do worse than to buy a lottery ticket and hope that you can get 70 catches, 800 yards and 6 TDs.

5 years ago he was the most dominant WR in football, but that ankle surgery seems to have aged him 10 years in that time.

I would personally rather stay with the receiver group that we have and spend the money, if we have it, on defensive line help.

This potentially made sense to me if their draft pick was a vertical speedster. It makes less sense as a compliment to the room we have now.

He was a shell of his former self last year in the ten games he did play last year.  Injuries derailed his career.  Hard pass.

Unless the Bills were to suffer catastrophic injuries to Shakier and Samuel, signing Thomas would make no sense.
