I'm aware there's a Von Miller thread going on but this topic is about what is now called The Sack Summit and was formerly called the Pass Rush Summit.

Apparently it took place this past weekend in Las Vegas. The following link is behind a paywall:

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5604628/2024/07/01/sack-summit-von-miller-cam-jordan-maxx-crosby/

Some points for discussion:

  • Von Miller started the Summit in 2017.
  • He is in the process of passing the torch to Cam Jordan and Max Crosby.
  • Warren Sapp is also a contributor in the expert category.
  • Former Bucs GM Mark Dominik does a presentation on financial literacy.
  • Past attendees include Micah Parsons, Aaron Donald, Khalil Mack, Chandler Jones, Arik Armstead, Myles Garrett, Shaq Barrett, Jeffery Simmons, Calais Campbell, DeForest Buckner, DeMarcus Ware, Bobby Wagner, Justin Houston, Dee Ford, Bradley Chubb and current and past Bills Greg Rousseau, AJ Epenesa and Boogie Basham.
  • Attendees this year included DeMarcus Walker (Bears), Myles Garrett (Browns), Ogbo Okoronkwo (Browns), Calijah Kancey (Buccaneers), BJ Ojulari (Cardinals), Darius Robinson (Cardinals), Kwity Paye (Colts), Laiatu Latu (Colts), Dayo Odeyingbo (Colts), Daron Payne (Commanders), Julian Okwara (Eagles), Nolan Smith (Eagles), Brian Burns (Giants), Boogie Basham (Giants), the other Josh Allen (Jaguars), Travon Walker (Jaguars), Bryce Huff (Jets), Jermaine Johnson (Jets), James Houston (Lions), Marcus Davenport (Lions), Preston Smith (Packers), Matthew Judon (Patriots), Tyree Wilson (Raiders), Malcolm Koonce (Raiders), Janarius Robinson (Raiders), Braden Fiske (Rams), Carl Granderson (Saints), Dallas Turner (Vikings), and Jaquelin Roy (Vikings). Confirmed attending for the Bills were Greg Rousseau, AJ Epenesa, Ed Oliver and DaQuan Jones.
  • The Sack Summit has spawned copycat position conferences such as Tight End U and OL Masterminds.
  • There were reportedly 60 attendees last weekend. I've listed 37 and don't know the identity of the other 23 other than that there were 4 Las Vegas Raiders in attendance beyond the 4 already listed above.
  • I am wondering if Bills 5th rounder Javon Solomon attended.

Great to hear. I think he has a ton of potential, looking forward to seeing him at camp and pre season.

Love they do these things... you cannot help but take a few things away watching your colleagues up close and in person no matter how much of a pro you are...

What they learn about blackjack and tequila during this “Summit” is immeasurable.  I figure that Toledo probably didn’t have enough hotel rooms for this event, so they were forced to find another location.

That’s how you can tell the vets from the rooks.

Unreal. Josh Allen is taking time during the offseason to work on pass rushing skills? Golf isn't enough?

Can't this guy spend ANY time in the playbook?

In a full season I like epenesa for 10 sacks this year

i don’t see him on that big list above but I’ve seen him there on instagram, maybe I’m missing it

I think Epenesa would have had 10 sacks if Von Miller didn't take pass rushing snaps away from him

His snap count remained consistent when Miller came back.  It was the rib injury against the Chiefs that derailed his season.
