They refused to have a legit kicking competition in camp and decided to lie to themselves and pretend everything was going to be fine. Them actually moving on from Bass then would make Beane look like he has egg on his face because of the early extension, so now we're in the situation we are in with a kicker you even need to worry about with XPs.
