This is a coup in real time.

Biden hasn’t said anything - these “leaks” are from Obama people designed to put pressure on him or when he eventually quits his base (LOL) will have understood it was inevitable and don’t want them blindsided and demoralized.

Per the news today Biden’s thinking is being reported hourly.

More updated thinking and reflection!

Good riddance.

With our system, we got Trump in 2016 because half a dozen other competitors split the 60+% of the Republican vote that didn't go for Trump.

With our system, we got Biden in 2020 for much the same reason.

The modern Primary system was a response to the whole 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention riots and all the talk of the smoke-filled room poohbahs thwarting the will of the (young) Democrats. Since then we've discovered that a pure primary system is a neat way to make sure that your nominee is a candidate that the majority of your electorate doesn't actually want or like, and it is the nature of our primary system to reward candidates who are toward the far right or far left.

It's high time to rethink how we've been doing things.

Not surprised. This falls in line with Dems pushing SCOTUS term limits or adding to the bench. Why not?

KEEP FIGHTING, JOE!

Defiant Biden Handlers Just Threw Obama, Schumer, and Pelosi Under the Bus and Then Backed Over Them.

“Can we all just remember for a minute that these same people who are trying to push Joe Biden out are the same people who literally gave us all Donald Trump?

In 2015, Obama, Pelosi, Schumer pushed Biden aside in favor of Hillary; they were wrong then and they are wrong now,” the source told NBC News.

The source pointed to polling in the 2016 election that showed Hillary Clinton leading by as much as nine points.

“How did all this work out for everyone in 2016? Perhaps we should learn a few lessons from 2016; one of them is polls are BS, just ask Sec. Clinton. And two, maybe, just maybe, Joe Biden is more in touch with actual Americans than Obama-Pelosi-Schumer?” the source added.

That doesn’t sound like Biden is about to drop out of the race, does it?   As I’ve said before, there’s more going on behind the scenes than just what the president wants. Jill Biden is wildly ambitious and shows no sign of wanting to give up the life of luxury her husband’s position provides. There’s also a laundry list of hangers-on both with Bide’s campaign and within the administration who do not want to lose their gravy train. If the president leaves the race, they will be largely sidelined, and they know.

Then there’s Biden himself. He’s a deeply egotistical man who will not want to go down in history as someone who gave up against Trump. Never mind that he’ll almost assuredly be blamed if he does drop out and then Kamala Harris goes on to lose. There’s no easy path out of the race for Biden that allows him to save face.

It's not like this is the first time a political party has talked about (or actually accomplished) switching horses in midstream.

Which party actually accomplished changing horses in mid stream. Which horses?

He'll be out soon.  Then the fun begins. any D but Biden makes it a nail biter.  For me it's Whitmer.  Michigan is a must.  Michiganders are generally very proud of their state.

I'm good with Whitmer/Wes Helms in no particular order.  I can live with Kamala/Beshear or Mark Kelly.  Trump is an awful candidate and the fact that he hasn't pulled away from Biden speaks for itself.  He can't run away from a corpse.

Reminder for those with your blinders on:

The Democrat Party Cartel is not trying to force Joe out because they think he is over 80, worse that last year, or even incapable of being president.

They want him out because they know he is going to lose.

Think about that please.

First I thought the tweet was about Hillary rallying her troops in case President Biden drops out.  Well she's probably doing that already.

Anyway, True of President Biden as well on never being wrong /sarcasm.

President Obama said never underestimate Joe's ability to ***** things up.  And Robert Gates in his book says Biden was wrong about every decision.  (Like the Iraq war and the only one against killing Osama Bin Laden for example).  So that's why I'll have to see it to believe it.  The right decision would be to bow out gracefully now.  So he'll make the wrong decision and stay in.

This is exactly how my Oncologist friend characterized Biden at the debate.  Sadly, he knows much about death.

It’s all so sudden too! It wasn’t long ago that you were in the Frankish camp of no mental decline. Shocking developments.

Ummm, no.  You left out the response option  "all of the above".  Plus he's sick, old and sometimes incomprehensible.

Comprehension problems yourself Joe ?

There is no all of the above.  They have NO PROBLEM running someone old, sick, and sometimes incomprehensible, that way they keep control.

They want him out because he CAN'T WIN
