Biden Will Be Replaced -- Any Decent Candidate Will Beat Trump...Again

That's a pretty stupid and disingenuous take.

I think he should be replaced too, but he is not the "democratically nominated candidate", not yet anyway, and he's clearly become medically and mentally incapable of performing the job.

The articles have already been written and are waiting to be published.

“Joe Biden cements his legacy as an American legend by stepping down. A good and decent man.”

“Kamala Harris, who got off to a rocky start as VP, has been unburdened by what has been, found her stride and is ready to meet this moment.”

If Biden drops out of the race, he should honestly step down and let Harris become President and the Dem Nominee.

Anything else is grossly undemocratic and irresponsible.

It’s obvious to everyone that he isn’t, and can’t, run the country.   To tell him he can until January, but remove him as the nominee only because he’s going to lose is absolutely gross.

It’s worse.

They knew his condition since day 1 of this sham presidency.

But - that’s not why they want him out - they want him out because they see he can’t win.

They didn’t expect to be here.

The precedent this sets because it’s so blatantly obvious to everyone, is the actual end of democracy that they’ve so ridiculously claimed Trump puts at risk.

Let’s do this every election - if polls suck before it’s too late to go back - we’ll replace you regardless what the *LOL* voters say.

That will be in the back of everyone’s mind every single time.

In the big picture, why bother voting???

The people you vote for don’t actually run anything.  And even if you voted for them, the people that really call the shots who you don’t know and never will, can just FORCE you out.

That’s what’s happening.

THIS IS A COUP.  And only one political party has done this now TWICE in the last 4 years.  They call themselves the Democrats but they are full fledged communists “protecting democracy” - the kind of democracy Marx and Engels wrote about.

And fyi I couldn’t care less about Harris.

This is bigger than that.  The long term consequences.  Hopefully those are just confined to their disaster of a party.

Spot on:

Boo effin hoo. Maybe it would be better if Kamala as VP just rejects the electoral slate from a few Republican states. I guess you think that's fair.

You said the debate once and for all proved he's unfit to be president. Now apparently all the important Democrats agree. Good.

Maybe we'll have a good race based on policies and visions for the future instead of whether Joe successfully navigated the stairs.

Be careful what you wish for!

This is not true.  The Dems are not saying he's unfit to be President.  They are saying he should get out because he can't win.  Big difference.  If they said the former, then they would be forced to invoke the 25th Amendment.  Rather than being Third Term Obammy's puppet, Harris might actually think and act for herself and they don't want that!

Ur party shouldn't go around calling Trump a threat to democracy then if your own party subvert democracy just because your candidate is polling badly all of a sudden.   Voters chose him.

In a primary, where they chose delegates who under the party rules have a conscience clause, wherby they can vote for someone else at the Convention. Everyone seems to agree that the issue is whether Biden will drop out; if he does, then by definition they go to plan B and decide it at the Convention.

Absolute clown show of a party.  Replacing their nominee less than 4 months before the election.  Anyway it's just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic for them.

Voters don’t chose the Presidential nominee. The delegates at the convention do. Biden can release his delegates to vote who they want at the convention.

We have to remember, Biden is not the official nominee for the Dems yet.

Not a very democratic way of doing things then is it if the delegates can just decide to promote whoever they please, disregarding the will of the people.   That's also assuming Biden were to drop out on his own free will, not being forced out.

Biden and Trump are about to have a lot in common, where those that pull the strings behind the scenes, will just try and take you out if you pose any threat to their power.
