Bass struggling at minicamp (and now at training camp)

Going 5 out of 6 with the miss being 58 yards is not a problem. He was bad last year but this particular practice isn’t an indication that he’s still in a slump.

Just won the job. The media will have the narrative all teed up by the time we play the Chiefs: We passed on Mahomes, Humphrey, and Legette, got jumped for McDuffie, didn't know enough to keep the Punt God, and had to be content to sign their castoff, MVS.

 

Hopefully, that narrative will be dampened by a good year from Coleman and MVS, and a disappointing year from skinny Legette.

I’d say most important . Franchise kickers are a must have to be successful in the NFL. Without one you are doomed

You mean Worthy. Legette is massive and plays on the Panthers.

Yeah it was long. But it also wasn’t even close. It wasn’t in the same zip code of the goal posts.

My concern isn’t so much that he can’t make the 20 and 30 yarders. My concern is that he doesn’t have nerves of steel to hit the game winners.

Why are they forcing this guy on a team that needs every facet of the attack to be dominant in order to go deep. He shows inconsistency and low confidence the last 2 seasons. Now again missing makeable  chip shots in camp. We argue about viability of safeties, receivers and lbs while this guy has no competition and continues to suck. If Beane and Sean don’t address this they’ll have blood on their hands.

Bates is now the starting kicker in Detroit after the incumbent got injured a few days ago.

With no wind and zero pass rush Bass should have been able to hit this kick.

 

For some reason he just shanked it bad

With all respect, he is not “struggling” , last practice he was six of seven, and has next to identical results for the previous camp practices, this is a “Jump the shark“ head line, much ado about nothing, lots of folk need to get their Lexapro script refilled, 😁👍
