Chandler#81
If you are old enough to have watched him play, you know he was a catalyst in springboarding the League to international acclaim. Playing with Wilt Chamberlin among other HOFers, his image dribbling the ball became the logo of the NBA. Thank you for the amazing memories, Jerry! https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-legend-jerry-west-dies-at-age-86-134646038.html? 4 1

RIP That character was HILARIOUS but apparently not a very accurate representation of Jerry West the person. He and his family were pretty pissed by the way he was depicted in that show. I mean just about everybody on that show was a caricature, the Larry Bird character being another glaring example. But anyways RIP to the great Jerry West

But anyways RIP to the great Jerry West I thought I read the opposite somewhere. Obviously a lot was dramatized, for sure. But given what folks were able to get away with in the late-70s/early-80s, there were things that were actually more wild in real life. West's character was definitely over the top tho. He was always at 💯 on the show. Larry was a mean SOB when he was playing, so not sure how far off from the truth that was. Albany,n.y.
Funniest reactions to his death: This man would rather die than see the Celtics win another title Jerry West hated the Boston Celtics so much, he knew they were gonna sweep Dallas, so he chose to die rather than see them win another ring. There’s levels to hating, folks.
