Albert Breer on X: "Ok, so here’s the full explanation from Jets coach Robert Saleh on Aaron Rodgers missing minicamp. He says he and Rodgers have been in communication, and Rodgers is missing it for an “event that was very important to him”. https://t.co/yaC9Lmu1pX" / X

Hopefully he is missing it to start his political career. Probably a nothing burger but if it causes problems going forward then that would be a real shame.

Unreal.

I don't know HOW in God's name the Jets organization doesn't realize the drastic mistake they made with Rodgers.   They won't be relevant for another decade.  And that's IF they land a stud QB, which we all know is next to impossible/rather difficult.

Rodgers being Rodgers. Absolutely hilarious. Combine this with an elite pass rusher they traded for at the end of March, finalized the 1st of April, who hasn't even spoken to the coach yet and it's the 2nd week of June.

I'm sure there are many in he organization that do. But at this point, they have to go forward at least for this season. No way he plays for the Jets next year

definitely better than anything the jets are doing.

however please keep this ignorant fool away from the band forever.  Still sucks that Ed wore his jersey during a show in the 14 tour, or 16 whatever year it was.

To be fair it was reported in the NYC media at the time that JD and Saleh wanted Carr who is also a big upgrade over Wilson at the QB position. But Woody had to get involved and overruled them because he wanted Rodgers. This is all on Woody Johnson if things don't work out.

The Jets acquired an aging, somewhat prickly Hall of Fame quarterback when the Green Bay Packers decided it was time to move on from him, only to discover that the guy brought baggage that offset his diminishing skills.  Fifteen years later, the Jets did the exact same thing again, apparently with the same result.  One of the most delicious sports stories of all time, at least for AFCE fans.

Woody Johnson is one of those owners who demonstrate how important ownership is to the success of a franchise.

Why not just say it's an excused absence instead of saying it was unexcused, but you're not going to fine him..

Ladies and Gentlemen, The aristoJets.

But they did say it was unexcused and would go through the fine system.

Could have something to do with his achilles, no?

Wasn't that acting up recently?

Worst case is that he can't play, physically that is.
