RangerDave
...sometime in the future... Keon, Jr: "Daddy, how long would it take you to run the 40 yard dash?" Keon: "Well, son, that's hard to say. I'm 45, and I haven't finished it yet." Edited July 24 by RangerDave

I think most of the haters of this pick are slowly coming around. It's still so weird to me that Beane openly expressed that he learned Josh likes the small shifty guys that get open (like Diggs) to the taller more physical WR's that win 50/50 balls. Then he drafts the latter after getting rid of the former.

In regards to Keon Coleman I think him being such an endearing personality has helped people like or at least want to like the pick more and more. I think what really made me like the pick more was the behind the scenes video during the combine where he talked about learning the offense line protections so that he can understand and react to the QB better. Seeing how much of a film junkie he actually is made me realize he’s got a lot of tools to work with he just needs to put it together

Goin Breakdown
Coleman was so slow today that he showed he has great hands and foot placement.......that's not how this works is it? I'll try again.

Everyone teases Coleman about his "supposed" lack of speed, but put on the game tape of him against LSU last year. You cannot come away from watching that tape thinking this guys stinks. He was explosive, with great hands and power. I'm not saying he's going to be Anquan Boldin right out of the gate, but the skills are OBVIOUSLY there to be an immediate contributor. And if he is an immediate contributor, Allen will surely be in the MVP race (and hopefully SB MVP 😁).

ScotSHO
What was his 40 time? I've got him at ~5 seconds here. I want him to be fast, but man that took a long time to run that one in. https://www.buffalobills.com/video/4th-down-touchdown-keon-coleman-with-a-49-yard-touchdown-catch-from-josh-allen-bills-at-texans-week-

He may not ever be your classic #1 receiver but I think he will eventually be a major cog in the passing game. Boldin was never a legit #1 receiver. That was Larry Fitz. But Boldin was a force and one of the best skill position players in the league. What i’ve seen strongly suggests to me that Coleman is fast enough to play on the outside. He's also versatile as a big slot. He is likely going to be a very good and useful piece. He needs to fill out and refine his route running but surely that is to be expected with most rookie college wideouts not named Malik Nabers. Again hes not Marvin Harrison nor a more desirable talent than any of the WRs who went before him in the draft (except maybe Worthy) but still a good pick imo. Maybe, but that's not what lots of other people are seeing. His long TD yesterday was almost entirely YAC. From most accounts, he's had trouble separating. We shall see. All I know is that the loud rant here was that losing Diggs & Davis was addition by subtraction, but that's obviously not the case. No one, absolutely no one is defending or WR corps. He's also got a 56% catch rate so far, which is horrific for a short-medium type WR. Edited October 7 by PBF81
JakeFrommStateFarm
I thought for sure Coleman was going to get in the endzone and display his breakaway speed But great game by the Rook !!
