This is the guy who thinks minorities need to be saved by these liberal white men because they are incapable of helping themselves. Why do you think minorities need your help? Do you think they are too stupid to see through your bull? For the first time in a looong time the minorities in this country are walking away from the democratic plantation they’ve been kept on. Your lies don’t work anymore. 1 1

If that's what Dems, and women particularly, are mostly worried about, we're more ***** than anyone imagined. 3

"Just pull yourself up by your bootstraps" doesn't work, has never worked, and will never work in the future. Why do you desire that minorities stay in poverty? Weird. We are still rebuilding our inner cities and it will take substantial investment. Taking this away will bring us back to square one. City centers will still be desirable places for recreation and relaxation, and they are going to be necessary to address the housing crisis in America. Single-family sprawl is both financially and environmentally unsustainable.

Roundybout
1 minute ago, Doc said: And large cities with their substantially increased costs are the answer? There are only increased costs because there is scarcity of housing. Austin, Texas, did a phenomenal job of encouraging housing development. As a result, rents plummeted. https://www.austinmonitor.com/stories/2024/02/austin-apartments-boomed-and-rents-went-down-now-some-builders-are-dismantling-the-cranes/ Quote This may have been most true in 2022. In the first few months of the year, developers in the Austin area started construction on nearly 13,000 apartments. (This does not include income-restricted apartments, or homes reserved for people earning low incomes.) That’s double the number builders broke ground on a year before. Builders spent the next couple of years finishing framing, installing windows and turning over brand-new apartments to management to lease. By the end of 2023, just over 10,000 new apartments were available to rent in the Austin metro. At the same time, the number of people moving to the city also slowed. Rents began to fall. Since May, the average price of rent has dropped 6 percent, the first decline in three years. And rent prices are falling across the spectrum, not just for new apartments with lavish amenities such as gyms and swimming pools, but also at older complexes where renters may do battle with outdated appliances and unsanitary conditions. 1

I want to cut every penny of “defense.” Notice how Democrats don’t talk about that anymore. You will never convince me “Defense” isn’t completely compromised and now working actively against Americans. You clearly don’t understand realignment. The people that keep being told to pull themselves up by their bootstraps but were denied boots? "They" is "minorities in poverty, especially in inner cities" which is what I responded to. I'll ask you the same question. What exactly have Democrats done to help minorities in poverty, especially in inner cities? Seems like they're still poor. My opinion is Democrats pay a lot of lip service about this every 4years but do little in between. Edited June 9 by reddogblitz 1
