The even odder part of the story is the woman deleted the image from her son's phone but he logged onto his icloud specifically to view it.

Oedipus theory alive and well.

I think you're missing the main point here.   Kids are kids, this story needs to focus on the adults, specifically the one who did something the others didn't agree to do. . .

edit: I see you've already softened your comment, don't mean to pile on

Can't this be a felony for sending porn to a minor?

The league needs to finally step up and ban these clowns.

I thought the same thing.  This dude is a scum bag.  I can't see how he avoids jail if this is true.

I wasn't not focussing on the adult. But it is still a weird element to the story.

OOF as if I needed more proof of human depravity I present xavier howard as living Proof.

another NFL player on the scumbag list.  I won't waste any more words on such as he.

you need a program to figure out who's who in this story.

who runs phone dead frequently enough to have to use your kids' phones to send messages to your BF??  if you're hanging with the kids, you would charge your phone...

And once you delete a text on a phone it gets deleted from icloud with next phone update.  also, if the kid has the phone, that text pops up, he's looking at that picture.

More than likely, it's one of the 4 women he got pregnant at the same time last year....... Allegedly of course.

On the tail end of a career and you're gonna create, even take the chance at creating for that matter, 4 child support payments that are going to last until you're almost 50? He's gonna be broke and working at Publix in no time.

While he is quite idiotic for that, and very trashy if he sent a teen what is allege, it doesn't make the "family laws" any less stupid. His child support payments should not be based on the false premise he'll make NFL money forever.  He is a fool, but should not be a living lottery ticket either.

Looking at photos on his icloud is not going out of his way, he didn't know they were there till he saw them. There is nothing to suggest he was looking for them.

I think he just wanted to slide that Oedipus reference in there and took his shot, let him have it lol

You have hit upon the problem.

He has the right to appeal his child support when his income changes just like anyone else. Acting like a scumbag doesn't tend to please the court though. There are also ways to prevent these issues in the first place so, again, not too much sympathy here.

As men, we SHOULD disagree with the system. As if women couldn't make money in 2024, as if there were helpless victims. Let' say they got 4K a month, SUPPOSEDLY for those kids (she can do anything with that money!), they wouldn't be in any financial danger. What matters if the dad is a millionaire NFL player? Why should the MOTHER make bank? And why is the burden on the dad if his income lowers to return to the court to fix this?

Men are getting destroyed, but since we have this innate White Knight mentality, and we don't stick together like women do for such matters, these laws are there. To the detriment of society. Why do you think it's mostly women, by far, they file for divorce and such? They get so  much for breaking a contract, no wonder so many men are wary to have kids, marry, etc.

I could see it depending on what the custody agreement is, but if she's the primary guardian and he's not really or barely involved I don't see an issue with him providing his half of support and it being based on his income, I mean how else are you supposed to asses the amount of support someone would provide a kid on a case by case basis. It's pretty simple to me you have a kid it's an 18 year responsibility in some form, if you're not raising them you're paying and since they're kids it has to go to their guardian to control it.

It works both ways... women don't play in the NFL, so naturally you wouldn't see the opposite scenario. It's a marriage- support, communal property, joint debt. I think what you are looking for is a prenup and not a system run amok.

Great sleuthing.  Next up you should figure out the Sean Taylor thing.

I don't think I agree with your entire post but it's hard to argue with the bolded.
