Weird. Why is Lake lagging behind Trump so much?

Only Maga voters like her and meanwhile Trump is getting Maga voters, plus Republicans, plus Kennedy voters, plus pissed off Independent voters.

Why do you think Harris is trailing him so badly in that poll? You also stated you think she will lose Nevada, a state that hasn’t gone republican in 20 years. Why do you think that?

Cause she's a terrible candidate despite the msm doing their best to prop her up? I'll answer for roundy.

If she loses a state that hasn't voted R in 20 years, wouldn't that be an early indication of how she will do elsewhere? I'm new to this stuff but if she's doing historically bad in NV and in places like Miami I would think that might be a sign of trouble elsewhere. But it seems to be business as usual. I would think the Dems would be freaking out

Interesting that of all those she pulled her funding from NC. That would indicate her internal polling is much different than that.

There is no way NC is to the left of Michigan.

NC may be interesting when the final results in. I would not be shocked if it was a Harris win because the down ballot candidates for the GOP are polling terribly and been widely attacked from all over. NC will have a Dem Gov, AG, School Super, and a State Supreme Court. The LT Gov is still a race.

People hate Mark Robinson and the woman running for School Super has been destroyed by the adverts.

Interesting.

We'll see how much terrible down-ballot candidates hurt the presidential ticket. Same as Kari Lake in AZ, who is running a good 10 points behind Trump.

This is the same kind of thing that destroyed the Republican Party in Colorado. They started nominated ridiculous joke candidates, which took them from having the Governor, to being competitive in state-wide races, to now being like a Democrat in Alabama, with no chance whatsoever in any state-wide race. All in about a decade.

Yet another reason to have an election system that allows for third parties without the spoiler effect (like Ranked Choice): it would help prevent one-party rule by providing a path forward when one of the current two parties becomes non-competitive. The Colorado GOP may be effectively dead, but you could have a new conservative party rise without cannibalizing the vote

I propose a common sense party. I feel like the Dems just do the opposite of the R's no matter what and vice versa. Common sense is usually somewhere in the middle.

I voted for the rank choice ballot proposal here in Colorado. Interestingly, while the official Colorado Democratic (and Republican) Party is against it, Gov Polis is for it.

Only way to get there is to get an electoral system that reduces or eliminates the spoiler effect for third parties. One such system, Ranked Choice Voting, is picking up steam and would be a big improvement on the current system.
