One of the best w Anthony Munoz and maybe John Hannah Dwight Stephenson and Mike Webster, at least in the modern era. That is too bad. The guy was like one of those houses being towed on the highway that say wide load. RIP. Anyone know cause of death? Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Absolutely one of the best Guards in NFL History. RIP Big man and Prayers for his family and friends. Quote

Let's Go Buffalo Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Larry Allen was definitely one of the all-time greats. Thoughts and Prayers to his family, and R.I.P. Mr. Allen. Quote
Bills!Win! Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Ever notice that the big linemen always seem to pass away first? I’l think it’s a combination of their size and the position they play. The trenches. Man. Quote

Bill from NYC Posted June 3 Posted June 3 (edited) I was never a fan of the Cowboys, ever. That said, they had some GREAT linemen on both sides of the ball. Guys lile Smith, Dorsett, Irving and Aikman seemed to get all the credit but the likes of Larry Allen, Leon Lett, and Erik Williams were flat out scary. I have never seen a right tackle as good as Erik Williams and I'm not sure there ever was one even in his class. Jason Peters was our right tackle for a season before moving to LT and imo he was the best player on the team (so of course he was traded). Peters was a superstar but again, Erik Williams was in a class by himself, as was Larry Allen. Jmo. Edited June 3 by Bill from NYC Quote

stuvian Posted June 4 Posted June 4 he was one of the few OLs who had name recognition. Great player gone way too young Quote

Played a long time ago. 1993-2005. I always remember him having a huge upper body, and his legs looked real skinny like he would topple. lol But he was a stud. Quote
holla83 Posted June 5 Posted June 5 I didn't remember that Cornelius Bennett and Peyton Manning were teammates. Quote
RobbRiddick Posted June 5 Posted June 5 He was phenomenal as was that while cowboys line, but he was the best. Smith isnt close to being the best rb of all time but he got the record thanks to those guys paving the way for so many years. Quote
